this was around 92 or 93. I can't tell you how many times the Joy to the World song at 1:53 has been sung between me and my siblings in the past 30 years 😂😂 so many little phrases about this show that stuck with kids from that era. We also used to say things like "Joey Buttafuoco ova hea'!" bc of the Jim Carrey/Amy Fisher skit. Throughout the years, if we needed to joke around a complicated name, we'd say "Jeremy Jolly Rancher Remington Steele Louie Cadbury the 3rd to the 4th power" like the Jamie Foxx/Duke the dead dog skit. I wonder if these people every think about how much their comedy impacted and shaped the humor of so many young people from that era. Its a shame the show didn't churn out MORE big name stars considering all the great talent that they had. Its also a shame that Fox didn't seem to put in the honest work to promote this show and keep the Wayans family charm this show had when it blew up and became a favorite. Another beautiful thing of particular note is that the racial humor in the show is so vastly different than whatever racial humor is allowed today. This show, as it was, could never survive today, due to the sensitivity. ALL races got it in a friendly observation of stereotypes- because this show didn't pretend to be blind and forced equality wasn't a thing at the time. People were just.. well, people. They made black jokes, white jokes, hispanic jokes, asian jokes, and everyone laughed the way that god intended. Crazy how time corrupts everything that is gold.

I always see where people say Shawn isn't funny.He's not the funniest Wayans especially compared to Damon,but he has his moments.Like this skit.I always get the feeling where Marlon is a better performer,Shawn may be a better writer.Shawn may come up with stuff in their movies etc,that we didnt think he did.Oh and for the record,David Alan Grier is crazy lol
