I remember watching the Black World sketch when it came out and even then I thought not many people were too political back then, that they actually thought Black World was a comedy sketch. It was more of a statement on how black people were not being represented in the world, so the little girl Chrissy had to invent a world where she was included. Great sketch, great acting and it brought a tear to my eye in the end when she didn't want to leave Black World.

Yeah but everything she said basically is true now, yet people act like there's been no progress

Really? You know when she said "release the political prisoners,she said mandela and then James brown!!! The Mandela/south Africa part was most political she got!!
@TheRayInPV2 ай бұрын
@@xboxhussy37 stating the inequality for black people in America during the 80s is a political statement and when she said to free James brown it was because he had been arrested and people actually wore Free James Brown t-shirts. Everything in that sketch was about the state of the U.S. in the 80s when it came to African Americans equal treatment.
@xboxhussy372 ай бұрын
@@TheRayInPV yep I get it,but you do realise your watching black Americans on their own show,making money,becoming famous and shit? And giving jobs to white people! Yeno ,this family was running their own shit, and people like me in the U fkin K still remember it,and remember it fondly!! I say back in the day they knew exactly what they were doing and we all knew aswell!! It was amazing to all,and they are well respected for it.They moved mountains to get were they got, and it should get more credit.They had and still have respect from my generation,It was funny and there was msgs,and they should have got more from the TV people. Know this, from people all over the world,black and white, whatever you call yourself,this generation was the last one to NOT ACTUALLY BE FKIN RACIST!!
