I am a nobody in the racing world, yet I felt deeply saddened by the passing of Sabine. There were no pretences with Sabine. Humour and hard work, combined with phenomenal racing skills made her an exceptional person.

This the first I’ve heard of Sabine passing. Even here in Wichita, Kansas, USA I know of Sabine and her many accomplishments. Feel horrible that it was cancer that took her away from us. Some notable feature of the Ring should be named in her honor. May God grant her an easy rest oh Queen Sabine.

Living in Germany the last 24 years, I’ve seen Sabine Schmitz many times on a variety of shows here and in Austria. She was a very warm, funny and competitive person. I just found out today that she passed. My condolences to her loved ones. May she Rest In Peace.

What an incredible human being she was. Full of life. Yes her life was too short but she had a life filled with her passions, animals, nature... and lots of work behind. I also like the way she talks about cars. She’s probably the person that knows all the M5 generations!

I know her from Top Gear as many other posters.... VERY SAD..... What a great lady... She held her own with the TG crew.... I did not know her whole history. I assumed she died from a driving accident, but it was cancer. She was an inspiration and lived life to the fullest.... thank you Sabine.... The utter joy, mixed with the abject terror of driving a machine not suited to the task that she exhibited whilst turning in a lap time in a ford transit is top gear gold and a testament to this young woman's command of things four wheeled. The world lost a great driver and person.
