Should I color you shocked or would you like to rent my shocked face for a nominal sum?

So guessing the discount code is better than Springtime for Hitler. :) Agreed about the AI craze. I've used it to get an idea on where to start on something I just don't know - and it's a mixed bag even then. Sometimes I just get answers that are flat-out wrong and don't even work as a starting point. Sometimes I get a reasonable starting point and can then go from there. Definitely depends on the prompts and what's out there. But I wouldn't trust it to do someone's job right now. I end up fighting table variables often (outside of functions). That's always an interesting battle, though I've appreciated some of your recent videos talking about them so I can have someone _else_ say that same thing about table variables. :)

Most things worth saying bear repeating, yes. Because no one listens. Or reads. Or seems to care.

@@ErikDarlingData Sorry. Can you say that again? I didn't care to read.... ;)

Yeah, sorry man, I don’t know how you’re watching the videos that it’s not showing up for you.

@@ErikDarlingDataoh sorry Erik. I see it now. Only on desktop KZbin in the web. I can’t see it on mobile safari or iOS mobile app.

@@ErikDarlingDataI guess you could put a link in the description or somewhere. It’s the whole apple taking 30% of sales.

Sure I’ll start doing that if there’s a static link

Are you sure that table variable deferred compilation is Enterprise only? Everything I know and have checked says it's in Standard on SQL Server 2019. Regardless, I wonder if this is an unfair comparison. Showing that in-memory table variables suck isn't enough. You have to show, or at least say, that temp tables are better.

I've said and shown that 1000 times. This is a video specifically about in-memory table variables being pointless.
