I see my 13 year old boy proudly following in the foot steps of his dad, grandpa, great grandpa etc. Farming is slowly going away and I'm glad my son wants to become part of what helps feed people. I still see a baby when I look at him but then I pull up and see the thousands of acres he has helped grow I could not be more prouder of him.

This song just sums everything up. I still work on my Grandfathers farm, right along with him. I go to college but always make time to work here. It just doesn't feel right if I am not here during harvest and planting. It truly is in my blood. One day I will be running this farm and fighting to keep afloat, and to be honest I wouldn't have it any other way!

What has happened to the farm these years? You are my role model

Growing up riding and feeding horses on my grandads's farm and my family got our own small 5 acre piece of heaven way out in the country and we had a single wide trailer and a barn that we build with our own hands(though I was too little then). Had dogs. It was great. Always sang by the bonfire. My parents raised me right. taught me that money isn't the only thing in like and to treat a woman right and to say yes ma'am and yes sir. We live in town now but I joined the FFA and I will own a farm.

Beautiful song and lyrics. I live in an agricultural area now in Central America where they plant and pick by hand. No machines, but a happy life together where family still counts.
