Might be my favourite Merle Haggard song as it reminds me of my Dad and how hard he worked on our family farm. His last words two years ago were to my Mom as he told her he loved her . PTL!

Awesome singing young man, blessed by it. My son got saved 2 years ago at the age of 21 and has picked up a guitar and is worship leading in church. We need more young people leading the way. Blessings!

You've lost sight of why God gave you talent, Conrad. It isn't to sing songs of reincarnation and hopelessness. Its found in the gospel songs you once sang. If you "miss the boy you used to be" -- return to the Lord Jesus and His Word.

Hey Jenny! You don't know me well enough to make these kinds of comments. Don't do it again.
@selbymesher95504 жыл бұрын
Jenny, Please do not judge. Most Country singers are more Christian then you realize. Blessings to you and hope you will apologize to Conrad.
@margiebeard27972 жыл бұрын
I don't believe he is singing about reincarnation. He sings of heaven and the City of Gold, and of being saved. Does not mesh with reincarnation. Just my opinion.

Conrad, you & your guys have done a great job of singing this song, except for one thing.... you are being to punctual in your phraseology. Just let the words FLOW outta your mouth & you'll be OK. Words don't start & stop, they blend with the one behind & the one in front... with emotions. Good Luck to you, young man....

I love your singing and the guitar but I can't stand the drum beating.
@steveulrey48956 жыл бұрын
nice voice but you don't sing it with the sadness like Merle did and how the song was written to be performed. Buck wouldn't approve of the hat.
@ConradFisher6 жыл бұрын
Steve, here’s a tip on internet etiquette. If you are scrolling through somebody’s videos, and an ugly comment pops into your head about why the performance or presentation is inadequate, laugh a little to yourself, and move on. About once a month, someone posts a super snarky comment like this on one of my videos from long ago. Most artists (there are exceptions) already keenly feel what their shortcomings are, and you being mean to them on the internet hurts both of us. Of course I know I can’t quite sing a Merle Haggard song as well as Merle Haggard. Furthermore, you have no clue if “Buck” would approve of my hat. This was years ago. I was a 19 or 20 year old kid, fronting a classic country band of men in their 40s, just having a good time, and fully understanding that I can’t out-sing the Hag. Playing music isn’t about being better than, or being a certain person so that somebody approves of me. I believe Merle Haggard knew that better than just about anyone. Keep it on the sunny side, man. Comments like yours really yank my chain.

Stop giving negative comments. This young man is an excellent singer.

Conrad, hold your head high. Your singing is second to none. Nobody knows your feelings during your performance, only you. Keep up the great work. Blessings from the little Eastern Rock called Newfoundland. 👍👏
