Onions need to be sliced thin and caramelized and not raw. Also the burger patty is more like a smashburger. Super thin.

I recommend cutting the onion thinner and cooking it more on low heat. It takes longer but the “low and slow” method will bring out the flavor of the onion more. Also don’t be afraid to put more onion or butter in the pan.

So I am from Cali where In and Out began…this is not a flying dutchman. A real flying dutchman is two bare patties as the bun with cheese inside. This is onion wrapped. Its not done the In and Out way, their onions are way more cooked.
