Tabernacle could be more majestic, veiled & complete with respective cloths in the inner walls. A crucifix & sacred Relics could be there. In addition, the wall around the outside of the Tabernacle could be decorated & perhaps use a traditional Ciboria (as opposed to the "lunchbox" type shown in the video). Just my 2 cents...

Cornelius Low I'm sure that would be a great opportunity for customization by a faithful pavtishioner!

The table in the upper room certainly wasn't "majestic", neither were the apostles' churches.

Anton P. oh so you were there? wow,you are old. no, the apostles gave him the BEST they had, just like Mary who used her BEST perfumed oil on JESUS who rebuked Judas for suggesting she should not have. so should we give Him the very BEST we have. if we can do better, we should.

yes Im sure the earliest Christians and the apostles gilded their churches with gold and dressed themselves in elaborate vestments , especially considering they were under persecution.

Anton P. And we here is USA in 21st century are not under persecution like theirs. No one said gilding, etc. is what *their* best was. It could've been the best linen the women could weave, instead of a cast off cloth, freshest bread and best wine chosen from the options available, instead of stale and sour, but always it was their *best.* No matter our situation, how rich or poor, we give Our Lord the best of whatever we have, not the leftovers.

This is a brilliant invention Father! just a few questions - what about the altar stone with relics? did I understand correctly that this is a rental unit? if so, then a renter would have to supply some items....? Again, this is a wonderful invention!

Wow! That's fantastic! In the days in which we are living, it will certainly be used. I wonder who thought of it & designed it? Even ensuring both forms of Mass can be served. I bet the first Christians & Apostles had to make do in their time⚪🕇

Everything you need to say Mass. Priest not included. Actually that is kinda cool. I've been on a few retreats where the priest could have used something like that altar kit.

Technically Speaking the Roman Rite has Facing the Tabernacle or 'liturgical East' as the Default. traditionally facing the people is done in a basicila with a Baldacchino or ciboria floating atop the main High Altar

Where is the Altar Stone ? Org maybe Antimension ?
@nahumrincon6165
@nahumrincon6165 6 жыл бұрын
the rubrics don't call for an altar stone to be obligatory anymore and antimension is an orthodox altar stone but the Latin rite has a similar form that has been put out of use since the obligation of an altar stone was lifted.
