I have no idea what to say about episode 3 but it seems like in ep 1 Alan tried to use Rose's fanfics as means to escape but failed and in ep 2 he literally tried to put himself in the position of Dylan so Jesse would accidentally save him. Damm Alan really was desperate

My guess is that, after 3 - if you include American Nightmare - failed attempts to use stories, events, or ideas from “his” reality, he got so desperate he started pulling from adjacent or nearby realities in the hopes of finding *anything* that would work. Of course, all of those attempts failed, and we end up with a mentally-spaced Rose, Dylan taken by the Hiss, and all the variations of Jack Joyce/Agent Branch/Tim Breaker being dragged into the Dark Place by Warlin Door, whose attention got drawn directly to Wake.

"Am I actually going to get to use the combat in this game!?" If I have one strong complaint with AW2, that'd be it. They never let you let loose with the combat nearly enough in the main game. Which is a triple shame because the combat is REALLY GOOD and the damage mechanics are wild. I loved this chapter.

Though this DLC is hilarious. Im thinking there is something more sinister about it, especially with the (rather on-the-nose) quantum break "episode" about Door being a manipulator of many worlds (as well as him being the host of the show the DLC was ran through) and my theory regarding it is that these "Episodes" are moreso glimpses of realities that Door has actively scrambled and/or rewritten for his own entertainment.

I can only hope for the control 2 dlc where langston and the real rose team up to recover altered manuscripts. Langston might learn something being around someone just as unbearable to the people around them as him... or rose will just show him up and humiliate him the entire time. Either way, I think, despite their personalities, langstons more generalised obsessions and stronger grip on reality would make them an interesting duo.
