In defense of Rana, not all ear wax is gooey, some people have dry, flaky ear wax so her choice of going through ear wax is entirely valid. If you're lucky enough to get a person with dry ear wax, you'd be much better off than going through blood and organs. Also, folks who have gooey ear wax are oftentimes also grappling with more intense BO because folks with dry ear wax also lack a type of chemical that bacteria feeds on in their armpits which leads to bad BO. Dry ear wax peeps basically sweat less and stink less to not at all 😁

Cat wears gloves because it's easy to slip. She can tell someone to do something either as a joke or rhetorical and she means nothing by it but they do it because that is her power. Wearing gloves ensures she doesn't accidently recreate what happened to her brother.

Even though Cate’s power is more like Jean/Mr. X, She’s similar to Rogue from X-Men, in the sense that she can’t really touch people. @sirbruce70 Жыл бұрын
7:56 It's called "continental style", where continental refers to Europe. Right-handed Americans typically hold the fork tines up in their right hand, then when they need to cut a piece of meat, they transfer the fork to the left, use their right hand to cut with the knife, then transfer the fork back to the right hand. The fork then "shovels" the food into the mouth. This is very inefficient and messy. In Europe the common approach is hold the fork in your left hand, tines down, using the knife in your right hand as needed the cut, and keeping the fork in your left hand "lift" the food into your mouth. It's much more elegant, particularly when eating meat or small veggies you can easily skewer on your tines. It's more difficult to eat something like peas this way, though, because you can't "scoop" with the fork. Anyway, the actress eats like that because she grew up in the UK and she's Anglo-Indian (and the character likely is as well). It also reinforces the image of the character as someone in the upper class who is in charge of things.

47:04 this commenter is probably wrong. Only Homelander’s kid Ryan is the only known natural supe. That’s why they made a big deal about it on “The Boys”. Maverick and Andre getting their dad’s powers is because of DNA. They had just as high a chance getting different powers. A good example of this is Victoria Neuman giving compound v to her daughter. I think it depends how high up you are in Vought that you learn that secret.

Suraj, ........Andre and Maverick are NOT naturally born Supes. I realize that that wasn't your comment and that you were just reading a fan's comment, but that's just another lesson or point to not take commenters' comments as gospel. "Naturally born Supe" means they were natuarlly conceived and naturally born (though a woman's womb) WITH their Supe powers already manifesting. By that metric the only naturally born Supe on the show is Ryan, which is why he was, and is such a big deal to Vought. Even Homelander is not a naturally born Supe (he was a test tube baby created from the DNA and sperm/egg of two other Supes, and therefore not naturally conceived even though he may have been naturally born. Although Andre and Maverick (and we don't even know for a fact that that is indeed Mavericlk. Everyone just assumed he was since he has invisibility powers and is a pervy peeping Tom like Translucent. In another episode he goes by a different name than Maverick) have the same powers as their parents, that doesn't mean they were naturally born as Supes. All it means is that Compound V had the same effect on their DNA as their Supe parent (with whom they share that same DNA) But the show has already made it clear that everyone who has powers - including ALL the kids at Godolkin U, - have those powers because they were injected with Compound V as babies. No exceptions. Other than Ryan, obviously. Hence the reason he''s the only one.

The idea being that maybe the way compound v chemically/genetically/artificially changed them might've caused them to be non-binary. there's no way to know that, but i think it's an interesting point. for the record, im against injecting kids with chemicals at any age. in the context of the show, i dont think a 8/12/16 (for example) year old should be able to choose to take compound v in the hopes of getting powers just because they strongly want it. i think that should always be a decision to make as an adult 18+

if you're talking about trans people in general, IE puberty blockers or whatever, just know that research shows better outcomes if trans youths get gender affirming care at a younger age before their body starts to develop on its own. the effects of puberty blockers can be reversed but the effects of puberty are very difficult to reverse after the fact.
@1771soccerstar Жыл бұрын
@@SuzakuX i could be mistaken, and it's not like I actually read these studies myself, but I remember hearing about studies that say that for kids suffering with gender dysphoria, up to 94% of them naturally grow out of it as they age, especially after puberty when their body goes through that natural change. If that's true, then it would seem that taking the safe, cautious approch and not allowing kids to medically/chemically transition until they're an adult at 18 would be more prudent.
