This man sees the truth so clearly. It's interesting... A lot of the black people I respect the most always use these very simple metaphors to describe situations. Patrice O'neal did it so well. Mos does it extremely well. In fact, that's basically how all the truths get communicated through the best rap. It'd be interesting to study why this type of poetic communication is so central to black culture.

I mostly agree with Yasiin, I think that his ideas are relevant and interesting. The less controlled media environment of the internet means for many people that they will go hang out on websites that support their point of view, they can chill with people that have a similar world view as them, they can get their politics from places that are more and less messed up than you get on TV or in papers, information on the net has less credibility for many people because they don't understand referencing, and don't sort the chaff from first hand sources.

Not everyone who clicked on that first video necessarily went into already wanting to listen to the entire interview lol. People surf all the time and can't decide before they've even watched the first part if they want to continue. There's also time constraints on people's lives and distractions; it's zero surprise that each successive part has a drop off of viewers.. we both know people don't see things through fully, especially when it's as casual as youtube lol.

Nothing at all. Dave Chappelle is a very intelligent individual. A lot of people look at the person on the surface instead of the person within and instead of actually taking in the full essence of who they really are, they rather accept the image that they portray to the masses in which the masses are used to.

Although, I never agreed w/ the Iraq war. I find it hard to defend Saddam or the condition of the country during his reign. Is it better for the Shia majority & the Kurds in N. Iraq since Saddam was deposed, absolutely. Will his removal by U.S. allied forces be beneficial for the Iraqi people, that is yet to be seen.
