01:11 She found herself from the assassin… Nat is also from Red Room and she made name for herself as crucial assassin, brainwashed. She might want to save the assassin from all those things that she’d been through. That’s why Yelena is throwing the bomb while Nat is just kicking the assassin and even saving them. You know, Yelena is not an avenger though she’s also helping Nat. Yelena is more trained to killing than she is to saving, while Nat is more accustomed to save others through Avengers and shield, maybe.

Also Natasha was used more in espionage action due to her insane manipulation skills as undercover, meanwhile Yelena was always more about the brute force and she served in paramilitarized duties such as Chechen wars which are indeed different than rescuing missions of Avengers. Even in the first Avengers movie Nat claimed Hawkeye that they were not trained for this, I mean, for a full scale war against aliens, gods and mutants. Yelena on the other hand, was more like a paramilitarized operative like Winter Soldier due to Chechen experience (according to comic lore).
