I'm always in a mess literally into my books. Frequently, I feel sorry for the donations that I've made a few years ago. Yep, Marie Kondo wouldn't approve it... But "people are strange"... This is a common style for London homes built to replace outbuildings or occupy other peoples' gardens. It is partially underground because it cannot interfere with the views of the existing terrace homes. It's like living in single space, underground, car park with it's own basement garden, underneath a corporate reception area. Light is used to "animate" the space because it's cramped and gloomy. The British property market is totally distorted by council regulations.
