You did it (moved to Hawaii), when so many only dream of it. We also moved to the Big Island in 1999 and only lasted 2+ years. It was a wonderful experience and we left with no regrets. Looks like you're on another island now and hope it all goes well. Mahalo and Aloha.

@@santadam well technically I did not move to Hawai. I was born and raised in Hawaii and have lived in Hawaii my entire life. But yes buying a home was always a dream of mine. Thanks for the kind words and wishes. Mahalo!

I live in Hilo, and something you need to think about is that it rained every day this year from about Feb. 12th to June 7th. Serious, serious rain. If you're not down with it, you'll trip out. And this definitely impacts how the maintenance gets done. I think of this as I see your sunny walk.

Yes lots and lots of rain. Born and raised on the east side of big island, spent most of my life there. You'd think I would be used to the rain, but no. After a while it can wear at anyone. Sometimes there is a lot of fun, sometimes virtually none for months. It is a beautiful place like no other, but yea people need to realize what they are getting into.

Thanks for posting this. I'm selling my home on the Big Island on September 10th and felt similar emotions about it. I want the freedom again which I felt like the HOA took away. Looks like you're on O'ahu...I thought of moving there also and renting for a bit. Hope you're doing well on your next chapter in Hawaii!

its so common for people to post videos on here and harp on about the negative comments. It gets old after a while. i guess they need something to talk about to make a new video?

I think she is just sharing her opinions and thoughts. Lots of content creators these days doing similar types of videos, walking around, showing you what they ate that day, talking about things some find interesting and other find boring. Your choice to watch it or not.
