Thanks for taking us along again guys. M' dad (as we says in Yorkshire) was well into steam. Had a vintage threshing machine and I went to many steam fairs as a girl. His nick name was "Oily George" cause his flat cap was so impregnated with oil and his trousers were held up with Billy band. Think Fred Dibnah!! 🙂🐕🚙

Hello both! Thankyou for a lovely vlog. Sussex is not an area we know well but Stanmer park looks well worth a visit if we venture that way. Gardening is our hobby so always look for them to visit if away on holiday. You were right abought acanthus , we had one in our garden but had to lose it as it runs everywhere! We also have the hypericum ( rose of Sharon), it really is beautiful. What a gorgeous summer we had, nice to see sunny skies again now the weather is turning wintry.

Great adventure again 😀. I couldn’t help shouting to the screen as you took the top of the brush and pushed it out ‘don’t touch the brush ends with your fingers’ …but alas you did. As a photographer I use those too . I have oily hands and touched the brush with my hand it was useless afterwards cause it would leave an oily smudge on the lense 😂.

Hari OM ..aaaaaaaahhhhhh.... very pleasant outing, ta! (Though I have never heard Hypericum being called that before; to me Rose of Sharon is pink-flowered member of the Hibiscus family. I guess as a common/colloquial name, it might apply to several species...) Now we eagerly await the next, as you teased us with a hint of a new bed topper... 😉YAM xx

Stanmer has only just started the parking fees. The one garden has only been open for about a year. The area was mainly very old glass houses. As you entered at the Lower Lodges, the cafe and car park there has only been opened for about a year too. For many years you could park for free.

Ken, I see you received a new lens brush and like everyone does, you ran your finger over it. Try not to do that because oil from your skin gets on it and reduces the effectiveness. It works best if it’s 100% clean.
