"In Song" with Amina Edris

Ms. Edris features in the latest episode of “In Song” created by San Francisco Opera. In it, she returns to her birth town of Cairo, Egypt, where she speaks about what sparked her interest in classical music, her childhood, and the influence of her family, in particular, her uncle Mamdouh Edris who introduced her to Oum Kalthoum, Rachmaninoff and Maria Callas. The singer reflects upon how growing up as an immigrant, she was constantly faced with a search for belonging, and as a consequence, music became her home. Filmed on location at the Dahab Island Palace, Amina performs Oum Kalthoum’s classic Ghannili Shway Shway with her uncle on oud, as well as Bizet’s Adieux de l’hotesse arabe with pianist Amir Awad.

Une personnalité particulièrement attachante. La voix d'Amina est fort belle et, contrairement à beaucoup de nouvelles chanteuses lyriques, il se passe toujours quelque chose lorsqu'elle interprète un air ou une mélodie. Une artiste, que je découvre, à suivre de près.

Pourquoi faut-il que vous mettiez TOUJOURS votre DRAPEAU (espagnol) dans vos commentaires ??????? Si vous voulez placer des drapeaux, choisissez plutôt celui de l'Égypte pour votre chère Amina, et ceux des îles SAMOA et de la NOUVELLE-ZÉLANDE pour son mari, son beau-frère et leur cousin !!!!!

@ Solveig No se inquiete usted: colocar bajo el comentario la bandera es una prerrogativa que no me está vedada(KZbin no la excluye) y que uso en cualquier comentario, sea la disciplina que fuere, para identificarme como español.
