John Prine- In Spite of Ourselves- Billy Bob Thorton asked him to write a song for a movie back in 1999, so Prine came up with this one, it’s so great:). Crazy how Johnny & I just started working on this tune and when we recorded this rough cut/live vid, it was Fri, March 20th and on Thur, March 26th- Prine went into the hospital with a diagnosis for COVID-19, by that Sat, he was put on a ventilator & was in critical condition and today now Tues, April 7th, 2020, John Prine has sadly passed and is now on his spiritual journey. Life is so short, he was such an inspiration to so many and such a talented musician, songwriter all around.
