Geoff's I See Fire is a great example of Geoff's vocal abilities, and is a great introduction video to hearing his solo work for the first time ❤

Yes, go see Geoff's "I See Fire" recent release. The Prelude to that song is "Misty Mountains Cold" both from "The Hobbit series.

Found your Pentatonix/Hallelujah video; seeing the two of you together is so wholesome! Glad to see from your site that you've also discovered Home Free and Voiceplay! Just a few recommendations that I don't see among your videos: Voiceplay's 'Oogie Boogie song', Pentatonix's 'Mary Did You Know' and 'Amazing Grace', and Home Free's 'American Pie'...sorry lol, I just can't get enough of these groups.

I am enjoying this journey! From 11 years ago, the dark haired baritone left in 2016, now has joint ownership with Layne (beatbox) of Pattycake Productions. Voiceplay and other artists use their studio, and they produce original material as well. The big high tenor was with them from the beginning in 1997 (rebranded to Voiceplay when that 11 year old video was produced) and left in 2020 for personal reasons. J None joined them in 2018 and was recruited by the US Navy to sing with them in 2021. He has been back four times while on leave to join them as featured artist. Cesar with the hair and the beard joined them a few months after J left. They are still one man short and work with a variety of featured artists. They used to tour all over the world until the pandemic shut everything down. They concentrated on their studio work and have been getting better and better, which is wild because they were always fantastic! Try their cover of Hoist the Colours from Pirates of the Caribean 3.

Haha. You heard, today, what they sounded like eleven years ago. Yes. And now today. :) There has been a change in the lineup over the years, Tony was the first to leave to work behind the camera . He now runs Pattycake Productions with Layne. I beleive Earl was in the previous video but he left in 2020 for personal reasons, undisclosed. J None, the first singer in this one, was a regualr member of the group from some years but left in 2021 to sing with the US navy's music section, but comes back regularly as a guest when on leave. Cesar, with all the hair, is the newest full member of the goup and has added a whole new elemement of sass. :) Geoff , bass, and Layne , vocal perccussion, have been, and will always be, the rock solid basis of VoiecPlay, having been singing together since middle school. The other member Eli, is the rodk god of VP. She was talking about Cesar. Obviously lol I think what you're saying is what I love about VP, apart from the voices and the fun, it's the harmonies they write. The arrangements are done either by Layne or Geoff. And do see one of Geoff's/. Anything. They're all good. I think there is only one he's done as just himself, that's High and Dry.

Thank you for another great reaction to Voice Play. If you ever heard any music from Queen well Please do a reaction video of Voice Plays cover of Queen In 5 Minutes. It is a mash up of several different Queen songs in one. This one really shows off one of their many theatrical versions. You will love it.

They just keep getting better and better. It seemed like there was a time when you could not turn on the radio and not hear this song. And while it is a really great song and Phil Collins is an amazing artist, it never really reached me. One of the things that VoicePlay does so well is to try to make their interpretation, both audio and visual, really reflect the lyrics of the song. I’ve noticed that when I hear them cover a song I pay a lot more attention to the lyrics. I think the next time I hear the Phil Collins version I will hear it in a whole new way. They did a great job with the 80s Miami Vice vibe complete with the glitchy VHS feel to it. Layne outdid himself. The percussion was outstanding and I loved that stomp sequence. It sets up the whole second half of the song.

She likes Cesar De La Rosa, our latest member. The other new, for you, is JNone. At present, he is "owned" by the Navy, so he guests when he can. Hopefully, he will be back soon permanently, as I consider this as the Real line up.

This gives you a clue as to how my mind works: In your last reaction, to the very early VoicePlay video, Eli (bald tenor) was the only one in that video wearing sneakers. And here he is, 11 years later - still wearing sneakers!

This is the story of Phill Collins wife cheating on him, hence the passion.
