I knew Lord Brevon's theme sounded a bit familiar! These two themes go so well together!

Now that I think about it, this does put a different perspective in the final fight (no pun intended) against Brevon. After fighting for so long and so hard to shut down the engine room to take back the kingdom stone, Brevon had the upper hand and threatened to end Milla the polite and sweet puppy's life if the device wasn't removed only to have you fight the mutated puppy afterward, which is really messed up. Making your way through round 4 of the Dreadnought, you hear Brevon's theme but also a slower version of round 3 at the beginning and end of the song. This really indicates that maybe that there might've been no chance at defeating Brevon, and encountering the first two phases, Brevon's leitmotif is supposed to indicate a feeling of hopelessness tiward the player. I mean even in cutscenes, you hear Brevon's theme merely everywhere throughout the game meaning that his presence is very well known to the players. So in the first two fights, Brevon holds back from his true might as seen in the final phase by sending his green ship called the Absolution and his orange mech-suit. Now, in the final phase, pulling off no more tricks, he finally has had enough if this defiance. In this fight, he is relentless as his first move is swiftly striking you with his toxic knife which drains almost all your max health to one petal if you're playing the game on hard mode. In this version if the final boss theme song, it's much more intense. You do hear Brevon's leitmotif in this fight as fast pace of instrumentation and hard-rock intensity indicates Brevon's true might. However, after his leitmotif plays, you can also hear a different song. This different leitmotif in particular sounds very similar to the results screen whenever you start a new campaign with either Lilac, Carol, or Milla. It's the very beginning of that song once you start a new data and select your character. This indicates that even in this battle that seems hopeless, there's a light that's fighting back against this enclosing darkness. It's rather a unique way of both forces of righteousness vs iniquity tipping the scales over the fate of the planet musically speaking. Both leitmotifs are overpowering one another in thus climactic battle. Once you defeat Brevon once and for all, the music instantly stops. Unlike all the other major bossfights you've previously defeated, which you do hear the bossfight music immediately syops for you to hear the sounds of machines exploding which preludes to your victory, Brevon's defeat is rather ironic. At the beginning cutscene, he was immune to laser shots from the Shuigang soldiers. When it came to rival bosses like General Serpentine, Spade, and Neera-Li, you keep attacking that rival boss until their knocked back a few times before they're defeated. In this fight, you had to keep hitting Brevon until his health bar is completely drained which takes a lot. I should also reference that it's the same health bar used to fill up to launch an explosion when he was tracking you with a target lock, so that probably means he was using his own life force to try to kill you before encountering the first phase of the fight which is a pretty desperate move for a video game villain who uses his own tricks and soldiers to take you down. The reason why this is ironic is because even if he didn't fall down from a first attack like a laser shot or a hair whip, he fell anyway like the rival bosses before. Afterward, unlike the other rival bosses which have been shown mercy, save General Serpentine who retreats to one of his mechs, Brevon receives the relentless and ultimate beatdown by either Lilac or Carol. It must've been the first time he ever felt vulnerability and pain for a long time, and that must've made him retreat cowardly to the quickly-repaired Absolution to flee from the dreadnought and all his troops.

It didn't work. Waltz in the Lake is a 3 beat song.
