Which do you dislike more: bats, or arthropleurae? Also, since you're in a Greek setting, how about a Greek name for Snickerdoodle? As in, chachanízo = "snicker," isopalía = "draw"," or "Chachanizo Isopalia?" (Of course, the pronunciation, "Ka-ka-NEED-so Ee-so-PA-lee-yuh") would suggest an obvious Spanish slang term as the shorthand version of the name...)
