The scene near the end when clints describing the assassination as the regret he feels is probably one of his best acting moments ever. You can see his lip quiver as he tries not to cry after he's done talking. It's amazing.

Great movie. I always thought it would have been ever better if Bill Watts ( Gary Cole ) would have apologized to Frank for doubting him, or at least shake his hand and thanking Frank. Seems like a conflict that was never resolved.

I didn't know, Rene Russo was a model during the 70's. Seems like, we didn't too much of a backstory on her character, Lily. Maybe, she's divorced or just got out of a relationship. John Malkovich did an amazing job in this movie! He should've won the Oscar!

Love this movie. My favorite rewatchable scene is the secret service evacuating the President. The president's feet don't even touch the ground. People get trampled. Kitchen staff shoved all over the place. They throw him in the limo and they tear out of there. The tires even come of the ground. It is just the best scene.

Two of the best roof top chases is for the 2nd Bourne and Bourne legacy. It's not a wooden gun, it's made out of some composite plastic. Not a great movie but great elevator scenes is in Towering Inferno.

I thought it was a plastic gun. That is why he was into all the model toy magazines. I think the bird hunters even said plastic gun. The bullets were metal he hid them in the key chain. But now with 3 D printers Leary would have the gun in no time. He wouldn't need to subscribe to those groups and Frank would have lost a lead in tracking Leary's real identity.

You guys are obviously BEHIND the times, man. The wooden gun ages the the worst, because these days you can literally PRINT a gun at home using a 3D printer--it's a real menace. You print that in 10 mins. instead of spending 10 months to make one with wood; both plastic and wood are undetectable with metal detectors. Shocking that you didn't know this! Also, here's my hottest take--Drew Barrymore is Rene Russo's secret love child. They look like twins, only Russo is taller; the age difference would work too (21 years). Also, in defense of the McDermott character, just you're because you're in the Secret Service, doesn't mean that you should have "willing to take a bullet" as a qualification. Only about 5% or fewer SS agents are assigned to presidential or other VIP protective details, most have desk jobs or doing other stuff like counterfeit work (most of THAT is NOT under cover, either). If anyone is to blame, it was Clint's character for pulling McD in after he CRIED and said he couldn't do it anymore, sealing his fate in the end. All-black recasting of this as a comedy: Will Smith in place of Clint, Chris Rock as McDermott (imagine the fire chemistry), Jada Pinkett Smith as Russo, Dave Chappelle as Malkovich, and of course Morgan Freeman as president, I would have Rock keep making cracks at Will about Jada throughout the WHOLE movie and see what happens--Will b-slaps the crap outta Rock, and then shoots him in the head 10 times a la Dan Burton.

Yeah, that was an odd comment. Dude is a serious freak, the embodiment of the evil robot trying to act normal in an attempt to gain power so he can misuse it in terrible, evil ways... it's fucking wild how little people pay attention to politics. Even as a child, I knew if somebody was a politician, they were by definition an evil, selfish, corrupt, arrogant, privileged freak with a massive unearned ego. Did people forget that? Did they never learn it in the first place?
