I stumbled on both of them years ago online, before they were so famous, and recognized something special in both of them. We're so lucky that their hard work, and favorable circumstances, have enabled them to become so well-known, and allowed us all to enjoy their gift to the world.

I’m 73 And was signed to straight records reprise frank zappa in 1969 and 1970. We had Melbays guitar method at 13 when I started playing. Todays kids have 1000’s of examples of technique. These guys are monsters and now I’m inspired by them. Rick I live in your town and know some of your friends. Even bought your arpeggios instuction video.

Mateus playing is so beautiful and heavenly that it brings tears to my eyes. And Matteo is just unreal. I may suck at guitar for now, but i'm so proud to have picked up the instrument and call myself a guitar player like these two. Thank you Rick, for being that connection point between old and new generations of guitar players, that safe place where the guitar is living its best life and proving it will still be around for a long, very long time.

For all the amazing guitarists I've seen in my 61 years these two are right at the top of the mountain. I'm talking Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Guthrie Govan, Tommy Emmanuel, Frank Gambale, Lee Ritenour, George Benson, Allan Holdsworth, Chet Atkins, Shawn Lane, Paul Gilbert, Al Di Meola, Nuno Bettencourt and the list goes on. These two guys are cream of the crop. Wow!!!
