Opening remarks by the Executive Director Vladimir Donchev ! Recently, we received a call from a so-called pro-hunting organization urging us to remove a particular film from our channel. Their concern was that it could be harnessed by anti-hunting factions to argue against hunting practices in Mozambique. Given the sensitivity of the matter, we initially restricted access to the video. However, after careful consideration, we've decided to reinstate the film. This decision stems from our conviction that hunting films, especially those documenting entirely lawful hunts conducted over a decade ago - like the one that showcases the legal takedown of a mature elephant with a single arrow shot - should not tarnish the image of trophy hunters. The actual harm lies in the behavior of certain hunters and hunting organizations that act surreptitiously, almost as if they've committed a crime. This demeanor potentially causes more damage than any anti-hunting campaign. Every ban on trophy hunting and the transportation of legally obtained trophies invariably leads to the destruction of habitats and the species that are prohibited from being hunted. A glaring example of this adverse effect can be witnessed in Kenya. This is what happens when there is no value other them meat for the locals : fb.watch/mlZuOrp8XJ/ We firmly stand with every hunter and hunting organization that brings added value to wildlife and their habitats, emphasizing their worth beyond just meat or timber, or land for infrastructure. It is through these sustainable practices that conservation and hunting can co-exist harmoniously.

I agree 100% what you stated, I also hunt, also hunt big 5. However, maybe the concern they had (we do not know) and that I have is the way the hunt is conducted. Bow is iffy choice, however I belief it possible, especially if you could get a shot from very close behind shoulder as elephant is taking step forward. For that to be possible, you need brush and coverage, first problem with this hunt. It was almost never possible. Second and biggest issue, once the shot was taken with bow, it was clear it was not a good one. The hunter or PH should have shot the elephant with the rifle to remove it out of its pain rather than let it die a ling and painful death. That is the biggest issue. Show respect and do it right

This video not only showcases how dangerous hunt could be, but also the unpredictable moments in bow hunting. An arrow, released in the heat of the moment, lands unexpectedly outside the vital zones. Yet, astonishingly, it proves lethal. What's most remarkable is that, despite the unconventional hit, the elephant does not endure the prolonged agony and pain typically associated with gunshot wounds. The elephant simply drifts into eternal sleep due to blood loss, without even realizing what's unfolding. Instead of experiencing shock and terror in its final moments, the elephant is allowed a peaceful departure. This is the essence of bow hunting: it offers balanced chances of success for both the hunter and the game.

What were your bow/arrow specs? Congratulations on the success despite a less than ideal shot. Great video.

I am sorry Sir. I don't have the specific details of Mr. Nesbitt's equipment. I will try to ask him.

My guess. At least a 80#/29" draw on the bow and at the very least 900 grain arrow, considering it was an elephant hunt.

You need to come to our Safari bro in Northern Territory of Australia with the indigenous people to go hunt wild Banteng they are endangered but not in the Northern Territory of Australia. Water buffalo are there too. The Americans I’ve been taking out. I have love the experience. Would love one days to go hunt an elephant or some more big game over in Africa.

No, they offer an incentive for the locals to conserve the nearby wildlife, rather than kill and consuming every wild animal in the vicinity. As in the example here : kzbin.info?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbDNCSW9fNkJfLTNnbUNvdkw2eWRIWXg5eXRPUXxBQ3Jtc0trSm16Tk1xNzRtVld2NXI4azFkcWY3cjRrQVZETVU0VFo1NVlHR2hVc2FsT2dYaC1Cd09xamhxWmNvcTZLYWdRWHQtMFhVSUQ2aVRaYjlQTF9iakV1NnA2aW5KOE5mNkJxT3dqOElFNG5hMFZFbEJfNA&q=https%3A%2F%2Ffb.watch%2FmlZuOrp8XJ%2F&v=M8CIONHvIKQ
