Some interesting analogy here which raises questions about how much 'chance' is present in any game and whether this is necessarily a good thing? Admittedly not had as much chance (no pun intended) to play games of The Woods against other 'oomans to really get to the guts of the decision making and how this pans out but I find the concept a good one. Reacting to an opponent's plans or actions and considering resource management perhaps more than in a game where you can just consider chucking some dice at a problem and hoping something sticks. Looking forward to seeing some updated how to play vids (mostly because I also enjoy your scenery work)

Thanks Adam. I think when you scale down from life to game level the elements of dice and cards do a good job of abstracting things you can't track, plus of course we're not talking life simulation we're talking games and the odds supplied by chance mechanisms give interest to the mechanics. For me though it's just as interesting to see what people trade off and how they approach situations when faced with finite resources.
