"In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning" is a 1955 popular song composed by David Mann, with lyrics by Bob Hilliard. It was introduced as the title track of Frank Sinatra's 1955 album In the Wee Small Hours.
It was composed by Mann and Hilliard during a post-midnight session at Hilliard's New Jersey home. Mann was about to depart for New York when Hilliard insisted he remain to try some impromptu songwriting. Mann reluctantly agreed and eventually came up with the tune, to which Hilliard quickly wrote a lyric.[1]

The first time I heard Tony, he made me feel so utterly elegant, as though I were wearing one of my 40s black cocktail dresses, hair swept up and sensually falling to the back, very sheer nylons, just enough leg and stylish black patent leather pumps. I did the 40s in style, and Mr. Desare brought that flashing back to me. Seduction has new music, and a beautiful soulful face.

Talent ? You've got plenty, Tony. I remembered this song from my youth, so of course I KZbin'd it fully expecting to see Sinatra and Carly, and John Mayer was a pleasant surprise.... but then I saw your name (I'd not seen it before, but I'm old and don't get "out" much). Anyway, I decided to give a quick listen......... Turned out to be the whole thing. Glad I did... Goin' to check out your music now. Bravo, Tony, bravo !

The closest I've come to a Frank deserving cover. In all honesty, it appears so simple, but the execution is terribly difficult. It's Frank's unique tone, emotive voice & ability to sing but almost do it as if he was speaking. So, well done. 👏🏼

Better than Sinatra. Check out the Sinatra version. it's wonderful. The Sinatra album by the same name is classic. Desare is better. Richer. Smokier baritone. Totally sexy. Amazing.
