Verry nice video. Nice and clear explanation. The only thing i would do is put a clearcoat on the blaster once you are done. This will help protect the blaster from wear when using it in the field.

That would be very useful. When we do another Nerf blaster video, I'll have to mention it!

The fake screws would look cool in silver too.

For primer usage: did you use a Rust-oleum spray can or did you use Plasti-dip?

I recently got into the hobby. Even more recently got my first hammer shot...fell in love...ordered 3 more the day after along with the gavin fuzzy upgrades. And just started the sanding tonight on the one I have. Loved you tutorial. Great stuff. Loved the fact that it was the hammer shot you choose. (I searched how to paint nerf like a pro and landed here) So I see you didnt bother to fight the shell pieces apart. Is it just as difficult as it seems to? Or do you just not see the need to?
@breakingcharacterlarp82362 жыл бұрын
paint like a pro? definitely not me haha thank you though! I think this was a hammershot that I previously opened off camera before filming, but I am aware that Nerf has been sealing their new blasters together, making disassembly much more difficult. I have the fortnite 6-shooter and I'll check that one to see if its hard to take apart

do i need to keep the part orange if im just gonna use it indoors? like with my friends
@breakingcharacterlarp82363 жыл бұрын
When I've painted moving parts in the past, they can sometimes gum up and in certain parts of the USA, orange tips are legally required for toy guns. Depending on where you live, you might have to keep it orange. Our LARPs require an orange tip and a couple nerf games we go to require orange tips as well. If you want to paint the orange part a different color, what you could do is wrap it in orange tape, that way you can remove it for your personal games. -Thanks for the watch!

I’m not planning to make mine look particularly realistic so would I be able to paint the cylinder to match like a red and black color scheme?
@breakingcharacterlarp82363 жыл бұрын
I know here in the US, "realistic" looking toy guns need an orange tip, but if you're going to paint it brighter colors, and playing on private property, then you should be in the clear.
