It was never the same after season 4. They just made the characters lose any development they had. I mean, Flora/Helia and Tecna/Timmy, for example, were dating for like 3 years or something and had healthy relationships, but both couples were given such immature conflicts in season 5, Flora and Helia with the insecurities, something that was a problem for Flora in season 2, but she managed to overcome them, and Helia had been very supportive ever since. Timmy and Tecna were given miscommunication issues because 'they are always on their phones and can't have a real conversation', when Tecna and Timmy always had good communication even before dating, since they have so much in common. New viewers may not see a problem with these plotlines, but as someone who grew up watching Winx Club since season 1, I can't even consider seasons 5-8 canon, all of them seem very OOC, Sky was king and now is prince again, the Winx don't seem to leave Alfea any time soon, the transformations have lost their meanings and individuality. I think they should've made a reboot right away instead of a 5th season, since they also seem to have a different target audience
