Six different people, each from a very different walk of life, awaken to find themselves inside a giant cube with thousands of possible rooms. Each has a skill that becomes clear when they must band together to get out: a cop, a math whiz, a building designer, a doctor, an escape master, and a disabled man. Each plays a part in their thrilling quest to find answers as to why they've been imprisoned.

I love how all the characters names are based off real life prisons that reflect attributes of their character like The Renn being named after an old famous French prison, the Centre pénitentiaire de Rennes that helped form modern prison standards, much like how he teaches the characters how to survive, or Quentin after San Quentin, a servilely violent and fatal prison, much like how he uses violence and homicide to get what he wants out of people.

@@cu_ri_o I believe so, it’s every character, I just don’t know all of the prisons off the top of my head, but all of them are named after famous prisons. Worth is based on Leavenworth prison, which surprisingly reveals a bit about his character as it’s a prison only for military personnel who have been convicted of a court martial, meaning he was probably more than an engineer and was probably a military engineer or contractor, leaving more hints to who could be partially behind this. Kazan is based off a famous Russian Mental Hospital. There’s a chart online that shows who’s based off of what I’m pretty sure, it’s a super cool detail. Or Dr Holloway being based on Holloway Prison that was a famous woman’s prison known for imprisoning 300 sufferagets as they protested for their right to vote, much like how she pushes and fights against Quentin’s leadership throughout the film.

I think the Mr Beast being behind this makes sense, and makes the movie more enjoyable to watch. In the movie, they never explained why these people were chosen, where the cube is, what happens after leaving the cube, if they were even supposed to leave the cube, etc. With Mr Beast it all becomes more believable - there are people from different walks of life, gathered into a moving puzzle where one or maybe more of the contestants will use math to solve a death game, and the prize for doing so, well, watch to the end of the video to find out.
