In This World The 1800s Got Plagued With Zombies Forcing Everyone To Fight For Survival

During the early 1800s in England, a plague washed over Britain, turning the people into brain-hungry zombies. Because of this, the people had to rise and take action. So to protect the living, a giant wall was built encircling London and was surrounded by a vast moat 30 fathoms deep. Despite still being able to live a certain portion of a normal life, the worse is yet to come.

Without going too much in to spoilers for those that haven't watched it, it's a big benefit for the humans that the zombies have an "inactive time" during the day. EDIT: For all you buffoons that keep commenting to me, read again: "WITHOUT GOING TOO MUCH IN TO SPOILERS." Stop replying with your smartassery, leave whatever happens in the later episodes/seasons out. I have watched the series myself. I already know what happens. You don't need to tell me what happens.

well modern people are physically not fit and dont have enough endurance. older generations had more endurance and had more contact with nature so they are basically survivalists compared to modern people

I'm honestly surprised by the fact that this ACTUALLY sounds like a really good movie! Back when it was first released, I was...uninterested. Back then, (a little over a decade or so ago) a lot of media were doing the whole zombie thing, popularized by shows like _The Walking Dead,_ and books like _The Zombie Survival Guide._ There was also a trend at that time of placing zombies in historical settings. (i.e. _Abraham Lincoln: Zombie Hunter,_ etc.) But UNLIKE the _Abraham Lincoln_ film, which,- (for me at least)- started off "interesting" but ended up anticlimactic) _this_ film actually sounds interesting the ENTIRE way through. I regret not giving it a watch back then. ...I DO have questions, though. If the Winghams character was 'undead' all along, why did no one "smell" his decaying flesh? Why did Darcy himself not _suspect_ anything? I also question if Darcy was TRULY healed, _OR_ if he has simply been 'reanimated', and Elizabeth's love has driven her to be with him no matter what, even promising to end him should he ever lose control of his undead hunger. I liked the ending... ALMOST happy, but _then-_ 😲

I wasn't surprised by the zombie horde coming as those 4 horsemen of apocaplypse showed up just a couple of days before and then again. But the return of hickup kinda surprised me as i thought he was never to be seen again. and also, i think that those zombies in church who 'held their human instincts' we just acting for Hickup.

The one concept I liked about the film was how they got there training in martial arts, the Nobles learned Japanese Swordsmanship, While Mr Bennett took his four daughters to learn Kung Fu so they can learn to defend themselves and Elizabeth is the strongest out of all four of the girls.

Though, sword martial arts is basically the same everywhere. Physics and biomechanics are the same, and swords are similar too. Falchions are similar to Katanas in design, except for the guard. A HEMA master and a Japanese swordsmanship master would not be caught off guard fighting each other.

I love this movie for what it is. A fun twist on the classic story, and although it isn’t perfect I think they did a good job of combining the two. Also, I will always love this movie because I think Matt Smith is literally the perfect Collins. The dancing scene between him and Elizabeth makes me laugh every time 😂

It's pretty irritating to have just action in zombie films or just drama, this is perfect amount. Story is great. Plus, it's set in 1800s. Why wouldn't i like it? :) In my opinion, this movie is a 6 or 7. Not that good for 8, but 6-7 are pretty good.

I am interested in the geopolitical situation of the United Kingdom and the British Empire during the zombie crisis in England. Obviously, continental powers such as France are trying to seize this opportunity to replace Britain as the world's sole superpower (if the zombie plague is simply and just hopefully contained in England and Britain). The British might have tried to evacuate at least some members of the Royal Family to a colony such as Canada or South Africa, along with other imperial leaders, to try and retain administrative power and stability throughout their overseas possessions. By making the victim the antagonist you make the actual villain of the story someone who is rooted for. So innocent victims will be killed and it’s seen as “right” and “necessary.” I don’t like that.
