This is my favorite movie probably ever because it's so full of mystery and food for thought, but it wasn't at all unsatisfying to me. It was so interesting and fun to think about the physics of the world and follow the characters to so many different amazing places. This movie needs to become more popular. It's a work of genius and deserves its attention for it.

This anime is not really about the rich and the poor as the video may imply, it's just that some people got their gravity inverted, while some are still normal, I don't know why those certain kind of normal people choose to live in tunnels and scavenge, but that's just how it is

I was so happy that I could predict every plot twist. But even so, it was so satisfying to watch, and at the same time disorienting. Right after finishing it, I couldn’t tell which was down nor up. It reminded me a lot of Metropolis (that old movie) but with a lot more to tell. If this were a book I think that it would convey a lot more than the movie did, more depth to the characters, to the environment and life that they were living. Describing their hardships, desires, dreams, etc. It would also complement the romance that felt like it started from nowhere. But nonetheless, imo it was a beautiful work, could have been better, but it worked despite the short period of time they could work with.

I have one question that bothers me: if Patema and her people are the non-inverted ones why was she pulled towards the fake sky from Aiga? So we have Aiga and their fake sky, underneath them Patema's people and underneath them the real world. Right? This means that Patema's ppl should stand with their bodies towards the real world and the Aiga should stand with their bodies towards their fake sky. Then why is Patema pulled towards the fake sky, that is opposite to the real world? I hope that my question is clear enough. If anyone could enlighten me I would be very grateful. Thank you!
