In-Water Recompression

In-Water Recompression - It has always been controversial whether divers in remote locations should consider treating decompression sickness with in-water recompression. This presentation will discuss evidence for the efficacy of recompression instituted very quickly after symptom onset and at lower pressures than used in chambers, and for risk mitigations like full face masks.

😊I did in water recompression for muscle hit. Dive was 45 min at 190 feet deco was about 2:30. Recompression 20 feet for 30 min. Symptoms resolved with muscle swelling extending for 8-10 days.

(listening to this while doing other things so apologies if I missed important details) One problem with the US Navy data is that the divers are more fit and possibly younger than the divers in the other data sets. They are the best candidates for recovery regardless of the time until recompression...
