Priestess Ina, before the Ancient Ones, was a shrine maiden. The Wahtcher's garb is the same color and looks similar. The hairstyle also matches. Theory: The Wahtcher is the part of Ina that the Ancient Ones replaced. Stuck in a limbo until they can return to Ina's body/mind.

Ok new lore idea: If we go by RPG rules the Void is the realm of the Ancient Ones. Its the space between Matter and Antimatter. Therefore if the WAHtcher said its beyond the void.. it would mean the Antimatter Universe and that would mean she could be another Ina or Mirror-Ina. We saw in her Music Videos that Ina as we know her is not the real Ina. Her soul was cast out of her shell (body) to host an "aspect" of an eldritch being. Both the aspect and her body became "Ina`nis". So IF this is the Antimatter or..Counter Universe then this WAHtcher is Ina where she NOT succumbed to the Eldritch aspect and cast it out instead. Technically she is pure human with all of Inas power, but nothing eldritch in between. ~ and here is the idea : See the white monolith behind her ? Thats where the Ancient ones "soul or aspect" was imprisoned.

This actually got me thinking, maybe we're not long before a new period of vtubers. Everyone's starting to develop alter-egos, genderbents and other mysterious characters, and it could very well be the start of a trend for more actual vtuber lore. We've had the Bubi debut too in Vshojo, with a detailed lore video making connections to other vtubers like Ironmouse and Lord Aethelstan (also Bubi himself is more or less an alter ego). We've been loving vtubers for their ability to merge streamer and anime character, but the potential for the fictional character part hasn't really been tapped yet, and maybe with all the different people creating more characters, developing a bit of actual lore (not just character sheet lore never to be brought up again) and fleshing out some degree of fiction within their streams, we could get something even greater. I'm definitely waiting to see more from Hololive Alternative too, for the same reason.
