Hey Deladysigner I have been there your zoo looks pretty amazing and I had the same idea with a wildlife reserve. This would have been the best area for Cape baboons or vervet monkeys. The crocodiles could also be great even if they are not Nile crocodiles. Nile monitors can work because they love over grown river banks with reeds or ground cover. But just to be different I would say a Nyala they in real life love forested or overgrown areas not like the game suggests grassland they also live mostly near water and live at the Glade river Canyon reserve. If you need any help with anything just ask I live in South Africa and can translate things to Xhosa, Isi Sotho, Zulu, Afrikaans, Basotho and can give you names of places that are fitting with your park . good luck and happy New year from South Africa

Blyde river canyon is so beautiful!! We went there a few years ago. Hippos will work great in here. I like that you’re incorporating some greener areas, because South Africa specifically has sooo many different biomes from deserts to tropical areas, and the fynbos biome (but that is in the Western Cape, very far from the Kruger), the only one of its kind. And yes It’s the 3rd largest canyon, and the largest green canyon.

What if you made the top of the canyon traversable by one animal (for example the lion) and have a cave going through the mountain for another animal that likes to swim (for example the hippo). Their main habitat can be behind the mountain divided by the backside of the mountain. Think about the view from the guest perspective of having different animals in the same area, but separated by different heights, that would be amazing! I also want to say thank you for all of your hard work. You creativity is amazing and each build is a magical experience.

This turned out soooo beautiful!!! I love it so much it looks like some of the places I visited as a child... I'm soooo glad for the habitat variety!! Grassland savanna is a big factor of African ecosystems, but it's not the only thing and it's definitely not even the only kind of climate! The "Africa" bbc documentary shows some of that variety. Also, hippos classically live in winding river habitats so if you made the river really extensive and looping with grassy banks, that would be perfect for them... I love Nile monitors for this area!! I would also love to see some kind of exhibits or lodges on an elevated area at the top of that canyon... Other beautiful African features include "koppies" (pretty sure I spelled it wrong, it's the Afrikaans word for "head", they are rock formations.... Drakensburg mountains are another absolutely stunning area! You should also look up the limpopo area, my mother helped track wild dogs for conservation there while she was pregnant with me and it's super beautiful and the dogs are amazing... As for animals, I feel like lions (in a pinch, or leopards, or small cats) or some kind of monkey or baboon would love the elevates habitat, but I don't think planet zoo has baboons... Warthog would probably also go up there, I'd expect small forest critters like duiker or klipspringers, maybe impala? Aardvark are more grassland creatures... They would love it there tho...I don't know how many of those creatures planzoo has. I keep leaving massive rambling comments but I'm just super excited!!!,

Very pretty landscaping I live in South Africa and have been to the Blyde River Canyon and areas around it. A few weeks ago I was in Mpumalanga (province with the canyon) in a nature park. IRL most of the mammals you'd see in these areas would be smaller antelopes like Klipsprings and Duikers and you do see some larger antelope like Waterbuck and Bushbuck but none of them are in the game. In this area the only in game animals I've seen have been Plains Zebra and Blue Wildebeest (but I assume you want to save those 2 for the open plains). Otherwise I do think the only in game animal that wold work would be Nyala as they live in more wooded areas and their distribution is kinda in the area. As for primates, no in game primate would work realistically in this wildlife park. Lemurs are isolated in Madagascar and Mandrills, Chimps, Gorillas and Bonobos are rainforest animals and wouldn't be out in the savanna, grassland and woodland areas of Africa this park is in. The only way in game primates would work is if they were brought here by people and built a zoo like enclosure, probably near the guest areas. IRL in the Mpumalanga area you easily encounter Vervet monkeys and chacma babbooms but they aren't in the game so primates in the natural area is a no go edit: 'Blyde' is an old Dutch word, so your pronunciation sounded more English, but I don't think you'd have a problem saying the Dutch pronunciation
@DeLadysigner5 жыл бұрын
Omg thank you so much for your feedback ❤ and I read indeed that Blyde came from a Dutch word, but didnt realise I could say it in Dutch.. but then I wonder, does it then sound like Blijde? 😄 In Dutch we have no words with Y in the middle of a word 🤔 not as far as I know at least 😄
@Mealie5 жыл бұрын
@@DeLadysigner they both mean 'glad' or 'happy' so I suppose they would be the same. You'd probably find Blyde is derived from the word Blijde. Blyde probably later evolved into Bly which is the modern Afrikaans word for glad

Using natural borders seems like a great idea to keep animals more together. But if you don't want to, maybe some strategically placed enrichment items could keep different kinds of animals hanging around different places because the would want to play with them. However, I'm not opposed to just letting every animal roam free and turn off the attacking. I mean, what if Inama Zoo only takes animals that, sadly, forgot how to attack other animals? Maybe these animals have a disease that numbs their natural instincts and you were kind enough to provide them with home they deserve! Sure, it's not realistic but I think that's adorable! Well, my imagination can give a reason to anything. I'm sure though I'm going to like whichever direction you choose to go ♥ and I'm excited to see what happend next!
