not difference, you cant alter specs by rooting, you can however overclock the processor but that wouldn't be advised, its just goin to remove the small barriers that google have put in place to stop people doing anything serious with your device by accident, however they encourage people to root the handsets if possible because of the wider range of compatibility you get

Figured it out. Had an app installed called Twilight. It creates an "overlay" for night time use that adds a red tinge so it creates less eye strain. Anyway, after removing it, problem solved. Now to get SuperSU updated.

Here's my little rant. Why the heck root tools are not included by default in sync. software from phones manufacturers? So ok, they think about user safety. Casual user will never think about root. But why not add an option in, for example, Sony PC Companion, one button "Enable superuser access", which will prompt you something along the lines "Warning. This can damage your phone, bla bla bla, by clicking Enable you agree to the terms". part 1 of 2
