They manage to escape, and while they are recovering from the chase, two kits run up to them. i really like the subtle touch of giving her bruises and a blackeye caused instead of a crack or something. in the actual show those gems felt really light and the crack didn't seem like much of a deal but *this* really shows how heavy those gems are and how much damage it caused to her. love it
