Inaugural Flight - Hawaiian Airlines Boeing 787-9 Flight From Honolulu to San Fransisco

Beautiful flight! I was surprised there were no water cannon salutes for the new inaugural Hawaiian 🌺 Airlines new Boeing 787 and instead of takeoff on the coral reefs runway like many other airlines does it’s took off from Runway 26R . I guess because of wind

Thank you! I'm surprised too but it seems to be a growing trend on these sorts of celebratory flights. Honolulu had been doing reverse ops for a few days at this point due to wind, when I came in a few days prior we landed on 26L

49:13 I felt those turbulence moments. Every time I'm on a flight, and we go through turbulence, I tighten my seat belt until the wild bumps and tense ride is mostly done.

Yeah the turbulence was pretty bad. You can hear everything in the aircraft shaking but the video doesn't do it justice. Thanks for watching!
