Inaugural lecture of Professor Esra Özyürek

Combining inaugural lecture with the launch of Professor Özyürek's latest book, Subcontractors of Guilt: Holocaust Memory and Muslim Belonging in Postwar Germany, this event was recorded live at the Faculty of Divinity on 3 May 2023.
The event begins with an introduction from Professor Richard Rex, followed by a lecture from Professor Özyürek (Sultan Qaboos Professor of Abrahamic Faiths and Shared Values and also Academic Director of the Cambridge Interfaith Programme).
The lecture is followed by reflections from Sarah Colvin (Shròder Professor of German, Cambridge), David Feldman (Professor of History and Director of the Birkbeck Institute for the Study of Antisemitism, London) and Michael Banner (Dean & Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge).
