Alex is one of my top three artists at least. He is a master of scifi otherworldly art.

We share a love for Alex's work. He and I are collaborating on a new story, and the first issue should be out before the year ends. The graphic novel will be ready by next year. This is going to be his first Filipino comic book in over 40 years. Stay tuned!

Jay Ignacio Apologies for being remiss in thanking you for checking out this episode. And it means a whole lot that you particularly did so. I've been eagerly awaiting your documentary Drawn and Quartered! And, that is incredible news that Alex is putting out new comics. Do you have any updates as to when it'll be available?

Thanks for posting this vid. I am a huge fan of all the Phillipino Invasion artists, but Alex Nino is my top of the pops! For me, there is no such thing as Too Much Nino. Stay awesome!

Man its awesome to see someone that appreciates the beauty of these artists. You are really well spoken, and I share the same excitement about Nino along with Moebius and Serpieri. Awesome video!

Zachary, thank you so much for checking out the episode. I tried very hard to put into words the sheer excitement and wonder that Nino inspires in me when I see his work. And moreover I attempt to do that with the other episodes (and upcoming ones) as well. And don't get me started on Moebius...

Good to hear your voice again, dude! Miss Sidebar, but really cool to see new things coming out. You have a very distinct diction, which makes these vids a pleasure to watch. Look forward to your future shows!

They was acting like a few of them were better than others, but I thought all them cats was BEASTS of artists.... They should make a library addition comic book invasion books for these cats and the British comic book invasion - if any others occurred it would be cool to see.

Soy, you have no idea how great it feels to hear that! I attempt to make these videos fun but also very informative. If you get a chance, research more of Nino's work as well many of the other Pinoy greats! The respect I have for their art is enormous! Thank you very much!

You have your 'trinity' of Filipino artists... I submit to you that it should be 4... to include the work of Rudy Nebres. If you're not familiar, it's worth looking up. I love Nino's stuff. I wish I understood it well enough to imitate it. LOL. That sketch you have is SWEEEET! WOW!! I was unaware of those DC Showcase editions. I'm a big fan of the Marvel Essentials. You just sent me shopping!

I have to share this with ya'll ! what got me interested in Alex Nino's work were the Young Master series comics! I used to work alot of the comic book conventions and Mr Nino was chilling and we started talking because I loved his work on that series and when he heard my Mom was Pinoy he went nuts with joy!! Every time i saw him a a con i would go over to him and chop it up.
@InazumaStudios14 жыл бұрын
That's awesome, David! Mr. Nino seems like such a chill and amiable gentleman. I would LOVE to meet I'm someday or at the least shake the man's hand for everything he's done.

Many thanks for this where did you get that issue of Comic artist i need to get one for sure.
@InazumaStudios14 жыл бұрын
David, the print version is sold out at the publisher (Twomorrows.com), but they have a digital version available. However, if you still want the print version I would check online through eBay, mycomicshop.com or any retailer like that. Shouldn't be expensive at all.

He has a book called Satan's Tears. $395 in amazon, very nice book.

Hi Pert! I would love to get a copy of Satan's Tears eventually, but they've always been a bit too expensive to seal the deal. However, I do have a digital version of Satan's Tears that I refer to frequently. But nothing would beat having an actual copy on my shelf.
