It just took 9 minutes to understand the culminative efforts of so many people and partnerships that spanned over a decade, is so commendable that it makes me feel proud that someone is working for a noble cause and at the same time, ashamed that I could not contribute to it. I hope in future that I get to work for these things and do my best, but can never counter the amount of upliftment and strength you have provided to people over the years.

What kind of bamboo were planted? It had to be a running kind since it grew so fast.clumping barely spreads and does not turn into groves. If they planted running kind, how are they keeping it under control? This documentary does not cover a lot of important details unfortunately

If I understand correctly, peanuts fix nitrogen into the soil as well and help make it fertile. Manure and other biomass will help as well. Divide your land into seven sections. Each year, one section should be left unfarmed. Let goats and sheep graze on it; their manure will help fertilize that section. The following year, grow peanuts in that section. By rotating each section, you'll keep the soil fertile so that it can stay productive.

The man at the beginning with the horrible soil, and at the end with the fertile fields is the same guy. Same age. Must be some of his land is rehabilitated, and some not.
