Now that I think of it, it'a kinda crazy Trunks was just able to mention (or rather allude to) time travel and the Kais didn't investigate it at all. Knowing what we know in Super that's super not allowed and they weren't even suspicious. Granted it's not like this DLC's narrative had the chance or drive to do that kind of thing. I /am/ glad it was allowed to simple and just let Trunks be in place of the rest of the Z-warriors. I do really like this part of the DLC a lot.

Also, Gohan could, he was just rusty so he wasn't as good at controlling the power. Which is why Vegeta stated that he shouldn't have slacked off and that it would have been over if Gohan just used the same form he did against Cell instead of testing the waters so much. Also, Dabura's the same in each timeline lmao. Dabura doesn't get some mystical power boost because Gohan is dead in the timeline or something. Trunks was weaker than SSJ2 Gohan before getting SSJ2 himself. That means he was around Teen/Adult Gohan's Base - SSJ1 level of power pre-SSJ2. So that would lead you to believe that if Gohan had went SSJ2 straight from the get-go, then Dabura would have been screwed. Because Trunks fucked Dabura up. And like I said, this all happened in the Super Manga in detail. The anime skips it and replaces it with a 2 minute flashback.

Personally i find the story of Future Trunks to be good but flawed. It never sat right with me why Future Trunks never used the Namekian Dragon Balls to wish everyone back. Somehow it never occurred to Goku to mention where New Namek is so that Future Trunks might go there. The fact that Bulma could design a machine that travels trough time is proof enough that she probably could design a space ship capable of reaching New Namek.

Using this information Bulma most likely would have been able to construct a space ship capable of reaching New Namek. They even could have made Bulma in the main timeline construct a space ship and have Future Trunks take it back in capsule form. In any case its simply a massive plot hole that nobody though about using the Namekian Dragon Balls to wish everyone back in his timeline.

Being able to wish everyone back with the Namekian Dragon Balls would have been worth the risk. Also the fact that Trunks met Future Shin and Kibido means he'd have access to somebody that probably could easily travel to New Namek. Unlike Instant transmission the ability Kai Kai isn't bound by the same limits. This means that Kibito could have traveled to New Namek if asked. No matter how you put it Future Trunks has/had all the knowledge at his disposal to gain access to the Namekian Dragon Balls but Toriyama strangely decided against bring back those characters in that timeline for whatever specific reason.

Especially because unfortunately by the time he could even consider doing that he far outclassed all the people he could wish back in terms of power. Its like if you're the only adult(trunks) trying to protect a baby(earthlings) that's in danger, you're not gonna leave the baby alone to go find a toddler(z fighters) who's not at risk.

Spoilers: So with the supreme kia dead, that means Beerus died too, which was how Goku Black was able to kill the other gods in this timeline. The Destroyer god and the Kai’s lives are connected. If one dies, so does the other. This is to prevent them from killing each other.

Beerus had his giant decade long sleep in the main story and only woke up because of a dream about a super saiyan god, if I remember correctly. He probably was still asleep in the future since a ssjg was impossible, so he never dreamed of one or never had a vision. I guess he probably woke up to the pain of... dying... not nice...
