Brit is a whole new level of creativity and intelligence. She's brilliant. Her beautiful mind absolutely fascinates me. Her work is thought-provoking, raw, witty, compassionate, mind-bending, incredibly human, and unapologetic in its authenticity. I adore all of it. She makes me excited about the possibilities she presents and represents, in tandem. She is absolutely exceptional.

Every single thing you've said I agree with about Brit Marling and the world she sees and experiences. I could add more superlatives, but I will just say that her absolute originality and clarity is inspiring and I don't say that lightly.

Her acting and the movie, Another Earth, was Earth-shatteringly special to me. A movie like that should have won every admiral movie-award offered for the year. A classic movie, and so good, I watched it back-to-back-to-back. It intrigued me deeply.

It's been a few years since I've seen it to remember if I had any other ideas, but...I guess I just thought that the experience and the decision she made was so intense, that it cuased a seperation between her two selves, the Other Esrth version of her not making the decision to stay. It was so shocking.

What's fascinating is that she mentions how swapping genders is more complicated than actual female representation in film directly after mentioning Alien, because the script for Alien did not mention genders at all, which is why every character is identified by a surname only and could therefore be cast as either male or female. I suspect Ridley Scott made that role of Ripley a woman because of the power in that character. The fact that the movie comes down to the only two women and the black guy after all the white dudes are slaughtered lends credence to that theory.

One thing about this show, the OA, is it kinda uses some of the latest scientific research/theory's. Like you don't see many shows that utilize what we know, or suspect, the implications of recent scientific research, to build story's off of. For me these exact things are at the pinnacle of my interest/fantasy's, and I gladly welcome any show that attempts to use them.

Why is Inbound Studio asking for compliments? INAPPROPRIATE. I don't think James Lipton of Actor's Studio did this. It's a little self serving. Just do your job. However, I will give you feedback; it's fine to have prepared (canned) questions, but really gifted interviewers go with the CONTENT of what they've just been given and ask their questions from THERE/in response to the interviewee. It's the difference between live food (picked from the branch/the earth and popped in one's mouth) and dead food (something that's been sitting around for awhile): there's less LIVE energy in the dead food. Less 'Ooomph'.

I am currently binging on OA again, she has been my favorite actress ever since I saw 'Another Earth' years ago, that movie just is so underrated..what a masterpiece considering the bidget it had..its still to this day my favorite character she ever did as Rhoda Williams..I like the OA mainly cause of her just being the main character show after show, I cannot get enough of her lol..even behind the scenes she is such a talent :)

I guess this sort of begins to explain A Murder at the End of the World... She flipped the script and made the traditional murder victim the detective. I just wish it had more to it than just being a murder mystery with a couple of technology cameos of things that we've essentially already seen, either in the real world or in movies.
