Very nice, I've been so tempted to buy this kit, having now seen how nice the parts are I'm even more tempted, although the huge amount of parts has made me gulp a little bit. Really well filmed Jens, we could see everything really clearly which is so important when doing a review like this, well done. Forgive my ignorance but I am assuming this is a WW2 vintage vehicle? Cheers Glen

Thanks a bunch, Glen. Yes, it's a 1930s tramcar, but if I'm not completely mistaken they were used throughout the 1950s in some places. There are 625 parts of which only two or four are optional. The day will come when the manufacturers start stating the weight of a kit instead of the amount of parts. I don't know if I'm happy with the way it's going. Maybe 40 or even 50% of all parts are needed for the undercarriage and won't be seen later on. But, hey, who doesn't like a challenge? If I should judge from looking at the parts I would say, buy it and build it. It's a great kit. Well, the proof is in the pudding! Cheers Jens :)

Thanks a lot, Scott. My girlfriend loves my hobby and she would give me more presents. I've got to stop her doing this because my stash keeps growing and I don't know if I'll ever manage to build all my kits. I have a specific dio in mind. An after war scene in my old home town. British soldiers on a raid for black market guys. I'll need a decent Willys Jeep (Tamiya or Bronco) and about 20 to 25 figures. I hope I can finish it before my next birthday. :)

That looks very detailed for a Miniart Kit and comes with a very good base too. It looks like it would take a while to build, but as you say you are in no rush. I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out and what colour scheme you choose. Best of luck and although you are not starting it until April 17, can you please keep us up to date on your progress once you get going? Many thanks for sharing, Joe

Thank you very much, Joe! The newer MiniArt kits are all like this one and some of the parts look "dangerous". And of course I'll keep you posted on the progress. I can't wait to start it and if there's any chance to get going earlier, I'll use it. Take care, my friend. Jens

Jens. This is a lovely kit I know I've got one in my stash and been debating about doing this for quite a few months, but it's always been a little bit intimidating every time. I left box lid. I think I'm going to wait until April 2017 to see how the master tackles it mini art do another one the European one which I've been try get for quite a while. That's like rocking horse shit, but I will track one down. Now looking forward to next year and seeing what you will put extra in this tram keep doing what you're doing Sim
@non-prolific135thscalemode7
@non-prolific135thscalemode7 8 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot, Sim. Yeah, it is intimidating and I'll build it slowly and carefully. By the way, MiniArt is about to release a Munich tram, including 10 figures and dio accessories! I'll have to order those figures for my tram plus some decent British soldiers I can use as MP. I was born near Düsseldorf and that was the British zone as you will know. The idea of the dio is that the soldiers pull up with their Jeep and search for black market guys. So it's settled after WW II, maybe in 1946 or 1947. I don't know if and how I'll master this kit, but I'll try my very best. :) Did you see my PM? Take care. Jens

It is a fantastic kit, Matt! It definitely can't be build on a weekend and it needs a lot of planning ahead for the paint job. It's also huge. HUGE!!! :) You'll love it. I'll use it for a post-war dio that'll incorporate one of my two Scammell Pioneer heavy breakdown tractors. I'm afraid it will be a HHUUGGEE dio, hahaha! A StuG is smaller but that won't matter. Which StuG would you use? And apart from the water damage, the resulting wet walls and floor that still aren't fully dry I'm fine. Hope you're well, too :)
