I've said this before but I have a theory about the creation of an incel. Growing up both men and women are told about true love through media and role models. As a young man grows up relationships become a kind of status symbol and sex is a marker of success among many men. This is combined with anecdotal experiences of the pre-incel seeing good women stay with abusive or toxic men while being disregarded by the same women. This creates a disconnect between what they have been told, (Be a kind person and you will find love), and the reality they experience. Sex also becomes shorthand for a successful relationship which is why many women perceive the incels to be so focused on it. Eventually the only way to reconcile the difference in what they were told and what they experienced is to rationaize with reasons why they are not good for the women they like. This leads to thinking that women only care about looks of men because that's what their experience reinforces, which spirals into a belief in genetic differences and eventually hatred for a world that they felt lied to them. I personally think incels are the direct result of a world that claims there is true love but in reality many are left behind without it.

Depression fucks your brain, really bad, there are studies on how depression can change how you can perceive things, in ways similar to other mental conditions. The worst one is probably the sense of inefficacy, an absolute conviction that nothing you do can change anything. Another horrible effect of depression is the twisting of things to be negative and directed at the self, think paranoia with a side of mishearing everything to be an insult. I genuinely feel bad for these people, in the same sort of ways I feel bad for drug addicts. I just want to help them, but I don't know what would really help. Maybe the reason I care so much is because I could have been one. I fit the criteria to be an incel, hell I could say that about being a drug addict too. I like to think I am just a stronger person, but it is absurd to say my friends and family had nothing to do with it. Both of those options are equally depressing, because either they just weren't strong enough, or they weren't lucky enough.

MGTOW doesn't encompass all incels or men who refuse or can't date women. There are also many versions of MGTOW, it's not universal. Incels may turn to MGTOW as a way to cope, or an outlet. A man who isn't an incel might turn MGTOW after a horrible divorce. Another might be MGTOW after seeing videos and learning more about women, and from the that, they decide to go MGTOW. (When I saw learn about women, I'm not saying what they learn is factually true, but learn from their own sources.) MGTOW is men going their own way. Which just means, pulling their sperm out of the gene pool. There is nothing wrong with that, and harrassing them as a whole isn't going to stop them. I myself am not MGTOW, but I once was in a dark place and turned to that community for awhile, so I see things differently. MGTOW see videos like this as a way to shame them back into seeking relationships with women who wish to steal their money. If you disagree with people that you shouldn't dedicate your life to a women, provide them with everything and risk a bias court in paying alamony your whole life, then you're a incel, anti social, mental problems and you're the only problem. The reason why MGTOW is so popular is that, there is no real media dialogue between men and women today. It's all women first, men second. You see that with Brie Larson and Captain Marvel, criticizing a mediocre movie is seen as sexist. I don't want to get into that can of beans and feminism, but my point is women and men are currently having gender relations issues as a WHOLE. Without proper dialogue between the two, it won't be fixed.
