Not sure of the relevance of this statement, since it applies to every last bug out bag/INCH bag video out there in the universe. Somebody puts out a new bugout bag video, and behold like clockwork somebody else comes along and smugly says "my son, if you know more, you need less". I guess these videos shouldn't even be made then.

Another homerun Bro. Loving the new pack, but I got to tell ya. I got so many packs for all my different types of bags ( 24 bag, Car bag [winter and summer], 72hr bag, bug out bag, GTFO bag and INCH bag) hell I even have a Truck Trunk I got all packed along with an Ammo trunk that goes in the truck not to mention the pistol, main rifle, survival bow w/arrows. I'm not buying anymore(hehehe) well maybe if I keep watching all your vids I'll buy some more.

Just my opinion on the inch bag, look at t.v show alone. If you don't have a place to go, you won't last. I like the concept of the threw hikers bag setup. There gear is based of how light they can get there base weight. Oz eqaul to lbs, lbs equal to pain, lighter the base weight the more comfortable it is , the father they can go. There gear can last 2k plus miles, some use there same gear for another threw hike, that is more then i will travel. There are exceptions to this, like people that live on the road.

+The Survival Outpost I agree about people that have the concept of walking 20 miles with a 50 lbs + ruck, along with weapons, mags, ammo, chest rig, pistol belt, etc... to their destination. I don't care how in-shape you are, you aren't walking 20 + miles with an ILBE full of gear and a bunch of pouches full of all kinds of stuff MOLLEd to it. Especially if you're maintaining awareness of your surroundings, watching for ambushes, covering your tracks, etc..., all while knowing the new norm is a world full of people that want to kill you for your gear as well as simply to do it ( because they smoke crystal all the time, haha ). If societal collapse ever happens, I'm driving as far as my vehicle will drive and, if it croaks, I will try "tactically acquiring" a new one and figure it out from there. If the craziness is that widespread and long term, preps are going to run out and you will have to tactically acquire lots of stuff, even if that means using your weapons to do so ( few will admit it, but many will do it, so I'm just being honest ). Law and order, rules and ethics have all ceased to exist at that point, so you do whatever you gotta do. I.N.C.H. really isn't feasible anyway, we'll all come back home at some point. If coming back home at some point isn't viable, I will stay on the move as long as I can, acquiring my stuff until somebody kills me. For mayhem scenarios like that, I have a couple of large military rucks that are 90 + liters ( especially with the MOLLE pouches and things like that, and I make good, extensive use of MOLLE ), and I will pack my gear into one of them, along with a Dutch military deployment bag ( and we all know how heavy a deployment bag can get when you pack it right, i.e. you can barely lift it and carry it more than a couple hundred yards ). Cool video. What is the name of the camo pattern on your jacket/smock? I'm pretty sure it's an old Waffen SS camo pattern that was among those copied and used by the Russians ( and I think the Swiss as well, who also used the Alpenflage camo made for SS Alpine troops ) so it's generally attributed to Russia despite being a German camo. I just don't remember the name of it, but I like it and want to hunt up a set of camos and a jacket in that pattern. Do you have any idea what it's called? Nicely done as always. Regards ~ Cthulhu
@TheSurvivalOutpost
@TheSurvivalOutpost 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the detailed comment, In a completely permissive environment I can hit 20 miles a day with a 30lb pack. But that effort is not sustainable long term. A system of caches can be a great asset. The jacket is AUSCAM, the green side cammies are Russian Partizan SS Leto pattern which was a copy of the Waffen SS Oakleaf. @@TheSurvivalOutpost yeah, when I put together my inch pack (heavily modelled on your red dawn video), I used a FILBE pack. Too big for me, so I returned to the TT Raid Mk 3. For me the idea of having everything you want inside 1 bag is kinda impossible, and yes you can survive without any electronics but do you really need to do that ? I want to have a foldable solar panels so I can charge small ham radio, light, lantern, head light, small fan, power bank etc ... Here is my idea *pack your car full of food, water and multiple backpacks full of prepper stuffs then drive to your bug out location, walking multiple trips on foot to transport all the goodies to your location* , then you can kiss your car final goodbye, hide it in case you would need it again. It's better to have a small shelter and multiple survival caches in your bug out location and don't forget to throw away all of your identification, driver license, etc ... you will never coming home so you are free now, you don't need these anymore o/ (yeah, it's a joke)
@TheSurvivalOutpost
@TheSurvivalOutpost 3 жыл бұрын
Yes that's the goal. load up the super awesome bug out vehicle and drive to the bunker where you live happily ever after :) But to be serious, if you don't have a dedicated bug out location with a home etc, the best option is to cache supplies on a remote land or at bare minimum, buy a vacation property.

A couple of questions for you sir... 1. Do you recommend the FLIBE main pack with hydration bladder and patrol pack or the Exo pack. And does the FLIBE pack frame creak a lot? 2. What are you thoughts on the patrol pack...should I get it? 3. Have you ever thought of getting a plate carrier and maybe a helmet...if so what kind of helmet and plate carrier. Thank you sir for your videos, they are very enjoyable and relaxing to watch, VERY underrated channel, keep it up sir.
@TheSurvivalOutpost
@TheSurvivalOutpost 5 жыл бұрын
Answers to your questions. 1. I suggest the Exo pack, especially if you already have a patrol pack. The main issue I found w/ my FILBE is that the frame does creak after extensive use. I've probably put a couple hundred miles on it. 2. The patrol pack is awesome. I still have mine, it's nearly indestructible. Taking it out for the day tomorrow. 3. PC and helmet is on the list. Big fan of the Crye Precision PC (amzn.to/2O9jmRY). Not sure about the helmet, probably will go with a lightweight MICH, price point is a bit high usually $500+ Glad you like the channel, much appreciated! Your shares on social media can be a big help, cheers

Great point for those who travel for work. I'm guessing you can use the truck for storage and sleeping? Almost like a home on wheels. I'm curious how you would handle parking or concealing your rig? I left out the weapons since KZbin censors my content when I do that. However, my ideal goal is to load up the rifle, chest rig and related items along w/ the pack in my truck and hit the road from that point. If I did have to stuff it all in my bag it's doable but not optimal, if that makes sense. It will be easier once I get a lightweight 4 mag chest rig instead of the big bulky one I have now.
@user-qq2ek7gu2n
@user-qq2ek7gu2n 5 жыл бұрын
@@TheSurvivalOutpost It is not necessary to fill the chest rig exclusively with ammunition. I am now trying to assemble a backpack in such a way that part of the equipment in it is immediately stored in the chest rig and pouches, which I can transfer to the belt. Thus I form line 1, 2 and 3, partially duplicating equipment from the most necessary to the comfortable. At the same time, a place in the backpack is freed up for replenishment. As for weapons, pistols and revolvers for civilians are prohibited in Russia. so the choice of weapons is not great))) 1 semi-automatic riffle, 3-4 magazines and 100-150 cartridges.

I know how I,m going to get there with my family , it’s only around 3 miles away & I know that the streets are going to be wall to wall traffic & I have a backup for that . I can get there in 5 minutes even if the streets are packed . This bunker was built in the 50s & was upgraded & fixed up in the early 2000s me & my whole family could live there indefinitely if we had to its that well packed ,the house might not be standing but we would be deep underground & safe .

your total right about that there is no way in hell that U R going 2 pack all of or enough of your gear in just 1 bag 2 take along with U!What U would have 2 do is take as much as U can or at least enough without over burndening yourself & have a lot of caches setup way ahead of time but then comes the Q&A of resuppling them so there is no clear cut answer 4 any of this no right no wrong
@TheSurvivalOutpost
@TheSurvivalOutpost 5 жыл бұрын
Yep at some point even the caches run dry. So my idea is to position myself kinda between the urban and wilderness areas so I can access both types of resources, bearing in mind that foraging for resources has to been an ongoing mission. You can't wait till your caches run out to start looking for food, fuel, etc.
