Incoming PM Lawrence Wong prepared to relook all assumptions to carry Singapore forward

Incoming Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has said that he is prepared to re-examine all of Singapore’s fundamental assumptions in order to take the country forward. He said the process has already started under the Forward Singapore movement. Mr Wong was speaking to the media ahead of his new appointment, covering topics from politics to his career. No doubt PAP has done very well for Singapore over the last 60 years but it just hasn't done me well. The rich are getting richer while people like me can't even afford housings and standard of living has deteriorated due to high cost of living and low wages, let alone fulfilling the aspirations he talked about. It feels like they are the party for the rich and elites. I wouldn't believe they will look after the interests of the non-elites and the average guy like me.

If the PAP is so above board as it tries to portray itself, then it should declare to the public how much exactly are the PAP ministers and Ho Ching are being paid and open the Singapore Archives.

Accountabilities and transparencies are not even low - they are non-existent. PAP MP spouses and Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) paper generals are parachuted into high positions in governmental agencies

Can't blame the man for not being able to 'relook ' what his predecessor had done for over 30 yrs. Afterall, it is the failure of the locals themselves to be not willing to 'pick up the shovel' and accept jobs that are physically demanding,long hours and even dangeroous. Truly First World Ang Mo locals does not seem to have this problem!

When we came out of covid strong, when our gdp is stable and growing. With so many foreign direct investment to our economy. What you mean? Because PAP don't give you 10mil to retire? Wake up. If they give everyone 10mil. Sure. Possible. Then buying a house will be 1billion per hdb. You wanna see many zeros? Don't la, very hard to count. Always need use calculator.
