i recently about two weeks ago had a wisdom tooth removal (all 4 third molars and two other molars) due to an infection in one of the third molars, and the past week now i've been experiencing a lot of pressure in my left eye (feels like behind and in my tear duct) and my eyelid sometimes doesn't want to stay open all the way and i'm experiencing double vision off and on. i went to an eye doctor and he said there's not really any pressure in my left eye at all, my pupils are reacting fine to light, and i don't have anything necessarily wrong with my vision in general, but brought up 3rd nerve palsy and also horners(?) syndrome as to what my issue could be. could all of this be related to the tooth extractions? (i had the surgery due to an infection in my lower left wisdom tooth and my right one was completely sideways in my jaw causing me to not be able to close my mouth completely)

Video request(s) based on a recent inpatient neuro consult with negative imaging workup for painless, mydriatic oculomotor palsy : unilateral partial ptosis with mydriasis (some near response) and opthalmoparesis (diplopia and mild exotropia). (1) Is "partial ptosis" compatible with oculomotor palsy, or does it always suggest alternative? ? (2) Can microvascular disease explain mydriatic third nerve palsy when compressive/other important causes excluded? Thank you very much! Wonderful videos!

I was diagnosed with shingles in early November and then diagnosed with partial third nerve palsy in early December. I started seeing a specialist for this and he says he sees some improvement..I’m still on steroids and anti-virals. My pupil is dilated and have ptosis. My lid is a little droopy. Other than that everything is good. My eye seems to be in less pain, less swollen, and a little less sensitive to light. I have been wearing an eye patch though for the past two months. My question is will this ever completely clear up?
