Fundamentals are so important. This basic but often overlooked fundamental is everything. It's the difference between making a ball and missing.

Good little video. Another useful trick to being "STILL" is something Mad Max Eberle mentioned. If we remind ourselves to, "NOT move our head FORWARD" it's beneficial to keeping the body still. With this simple reminder, the body tends to follow suit and doesn't move.

You didn’t mention staying down after the shot. which helps I think. Great videos 👍🎱🎱

If you dont move your body during shots (just like he said), you'll be more likely to stay down after the shot. I've recorded myself and it holds true

I recently purchased a tripod for my phone so I could record me playing pool more easily, so that I can study my stroke better. I think it'll help me determine how much movement I allow along with other potential issues with my stroke and stance.

Its pretty common knowing the positves of a carbon fiber shaft, what are the advantages and positves to sticking with real wood? Notice great players not making the change, Earl the pearl, Efren etc...

I saw a video not long ago where Earl talks about shaft deflection and how everyone needs it in some form or fashion. I tried a carbon fiber and had a tough go of it. In the end I went back to using a wood shaft (Predator 314) and never looked back.

@@hankbell2378 I recently defeated Earl Strickland in the annual Menora challenge. I used a cue made out of wax extracted from the soapy bars mined from 1940's Germany. While it plasticly deformed on my power shots, it held up well enough to defeat the white supremacist in the end.

You still listen to radio? 😁 It's strange, when I'm shooting my best, my stance looks really contorted and unstable.... feet close, butt way out, body twisted, it just works for my frame. Yeah, someone could move me if they pushed me, but how often does that happen in pool?
@DrawShotTV
@DrawShotTV Жыл бұрын
I do! It’s best to find a consistent stance. But learn from what’s working
@briankdaniels
@briankdaniels Жыл бұрын
The point of someone giving you a nudge is to examine how strong and stable your stance is. The more stable, the less chance of moving during a shot and improving the chance of making the ball!

@@briankdaniels yeah it totally makes sense in general, just in my case I have to move my body pretty far out of the way to have a perfectly straight stroke line.
