The MK17 Assault is a beast, at MK3 it does 37 damage per round Can’t equip a suppressor but with a 50 round mag you just melt enemies

Jon K, from what I can tell all assault variants of AR’s are loud weapons so no suppressors You might have been using the regular MK17(still in my top 3 favourite baseline AR’s in the game) Also the 416 shorty can’t equip an extended mag or grenade launcher

BanditoDorito679, two ways Most straightforward is to buy the MK17 Assault/Wolves for 1200 at the shop Or grind out the faction tiers, every tier that has a crate has a chance to drop it, I’m on Xbox so it says press X to see rewards, there’s a pool of rewards like face paints, weapon camos, melee weapons, vehicles and four blueprints One of them is the MK17 Assault Keep in mind that it’s random rewards, you can get lucky but for me they kept dropping everything but the blueprints, I’m tier 28 and have yet to get it so I bought it from the shop a few days ago 1200 is a bit much, about £7.99 I think But honestly the weapon is amazing so I don’t regret it, play as the Assault class for plus 20 handling buff Roll yourself an MK17 on demand with handling and accuracy and the gun is remarkably stable, with a ROF 550 and 37 damage at MK3 it take out most enemies with two rounds to the chest Literally it’s only downside is that you can’t equip a suppressor..

One theory about why we cant put a suppressor on assault variants i read about is pvp balance, which if it is true is another example for why this whole shared progression only one charcter thing is actively harming the singleplayer experience. i really have much fun playing the game but this game has some mind blowingly stubid design choices, like that you cant put a ACOG sight on assault rifles for example alongside with other attachment limitations which do not make any sense. The ACOG was originally designed to be used on the M16 and M4 Carbine assault rifles and is still used on assault rifles today.

The 416 Assault Special muzzle details- " ASR Standard Muzzle: allows rapid employment of A suppressor...." Why not equip it with another muzzle if you're not going to allow suppressors . Stupid . It should come with A break ,Standard, flashhider,ect ,not A suppressor muzzle .

I’m sure you know by now, but, since all the updates as of today 4/1/21, you can now put a suppressor on the 416 assault special. Also the the 416 assault special custom is the same but has a permanent brown graphic design and single/auto trigger standard. No burst/auto. This is now my most used weapon. Anyway. Peace.

WillyB, hey, man, you should do a vid on shotguns (Dunno if ya have already, but I'll check. Anyway, yeah, do shotguns). And, yes, you can do "buffs" in a bivouac (Fun fact: A bivouac is an actual thing; who'da thunk it? Lol), however, you have to do them one-ar-a-time, which is annoying. They need to make it so that you can just "do all buffs" with a simple button. Also, it'd be cool too if we could do "drop down takedowns" on enemies. And why don't we have the dramatic "panther" class takedowns (a.k.a. the head scissors for instance) like seen in the e3 demo????!!! DEVS, IF YOU READ THIS, MAKE IT HAPPEN PLEASE.

the drift to teh right when u were leaning is bullet ballistics. the game has bullet drop & the right cant of ur gun when leaning to the right will cause the bullet to drift right

They kept the suppressor off because its a specialist variant of a gun like they did in Wildlands. Certain guns were specialist type guns that could not be modified at all so I am assuming they were going for that same idea for the most part. You get a bit more of something but sacrifice something else with each different one.

All the assault variants prevent you from using a suppressor. It's the trade off for the other buffs. Same reason the suppressor reduces your damage, there needs to be some drawback.

All the guns in the ASSAULT series don't have the suppressor attachments. It is not an oversight. it was meant to be that way, because the ASSAULT series guns have higher damage.

Brandon Mayer, the "assault" class is beast! Darkdally used it "in-your-face" style to take down a behemoth on extreme difficulty, so, using This gun and/or a shotgun would demolish anything I think. This, of course, just speculative estimation, but it would stand to reason it would work.

Willy, for those missions to hold off reinforcements for 2 minutes ive always found that using a vehicle with guns does the best for those especially the tanks!! I would love to see you do this in another episode!!! Anyways keep them videos flowing, we love them!!

Try the 516 assault rifle but you have to do three side missions which are Song for a revolution and get it from Harughi Ito and then do pirate radio and you get it from the guy at the end of song for a revolution, then do don't kill the messenger by Harughi Ito and the reward after it is the 516 blueprint. I have a full 252 build on both assault and Sharpshooter. 252 is the highest for all gear and weapons. Though I have seen one person with 253 but not a full build throughout. You want the mawl and flash hider on that gun. When you get in the 240s you want to start doing level 250 wolves bases for the 250 drops. For 251 and 252 it drops from daily elite faction missions.

By buffs I think he meant at the lil camp sites you can sit at...like hydrating give you fatigue resistant....or if you do the stretching it gives more stamina....or eating gives more injury resistant so if you fall itll be harder for you to break your leg....its not gonna make you better shooting wise but player wise

In terms of shotguns, the M4 is the absolute best. However, the SASG-12 is the only one in the game that will allow you to use the shotgun suppressor. It’s also magazine fed, so the reloads are fairly quick.

@WillyB They keep the suppressor off because it's particularly an "Assault" variant - that is, it's made for assault scenarios where there is no requirement for suppressors and stealth.

It can't use a suppressor because of balancing for PvP. The RU12SG is a pretty good shotgun to start off with, try to get one with range and accuracy (for closer pellet grouping) or range and handling (for better recoil control) buffs. It can use a suppressor.

Try the 516, you get them from a side mission, i love it. You start the mission at the outcast outpost. You need to get date complete in stealth for some dj, when done, you need to come back in like a few min, then you need to go back to him for the second part. If thats done, go back to the outcast, and you will get the thirth and final mission, and as rewards the 516 and it's bleuprint. It handels great and sounds amazing when you do take of the suppressor. It's like a upgraded 416

Could you make a video using one of my favourite ARs it's the VHSD, I know it sounds like some old electrical device, but I'm still amazed how good this weapon handles, its has full auto plus single shot, with decent damage and range but the fire rate is not that high. Try taking on the Wolves 250 gear score camp with the 416 Assault Special ...Only one outcome ..after your first shot the Wolves will already know where you are . I already cleared the camp out with the 416 Scout :)

All the questions you were asking about the gun are in the name it's for assault not stealh frontal assualt. Loud and proud, guns blazing. That's also why that class has more health. Your more likely to get hit. Plus I think the 416 scout and assualt would make a good combo.

Hey @WillyB - whenever you try to duke it out with the enemies, like having a shootout out of cover, I’ve found that enemies other than the standard ‘Rifleman’ enemies so enemies that are ‘Specialists’ will shoot for your head & also your legs... And as you probably know- once your legs get taken out, you get critically injured and can’t run or use any weapon other than your pistol.. So WillyB & other fellow Ghost Recon - Breakpoint players, beware when trying to have a stand-off shootout out of cover!!
