Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone . Not only that, but she received the copyrights for her version of this song from Queen, which makes it hers now. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 17 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out later this year. Angelina just recently released her new single, Our Time, and is fantastic! She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to sing for the whole world, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. One of the reasons why we love her so much!

I remember the show and that Angelina said she began singing when she was 1-1/2. Then I saw the video of her at 1 - 1/2 where she is laying in her mom's bed with a hand 'mic' in her hand and sang a Whitney Houston song like an adult. It doesn't get more astounding than that !

Madison, we angels (fans) love to watch people react to hearing Angelina for the first time. I like to believe all the great singers, of decades past, got together in heaven and poured all their talents into Angelina. The only things which exceed Angelina's musical talents, are her humility and empathy. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina has been writing songs since she was 10 years 0ld - So far 12 have been released: Oslo, What is Life?, Shield, Million Miles, 7th Heaven, Love Don't Let Me Go, Now I'm The Fool, Fire and Rain, All My Fault, Good in Goodbyes, Diamond, and Our Time. Angelina has stated that she has written about 100 songs that have yet to be released. Her songs are taken from her Journal writings. As you learn more about Angelina, you will find that she fits in with your goals for the channel. Yes, she has a wonderful voice. You've experienced a small sample of that. She is clearly a prodigy. She also has a very strong work ethic. She never rested on her God given gifts. She has worked very hard to always keep improving. She has between 200 and 300 videos on KZbin with most being covers but including several originals because she is writing most of her new music. Now, about fitting with your channel goals, you just listened to Norway's youngest published author! She wrote a book when she was nine years old, based in large part on her diary entries when she was six. The book was marketed as a children's book, or a picture book, but I can tell you that when I go back and reread it, it still brings me to tears. You may have noticed that Angelina was barefoot during this performance. She is virtually always barefoot when she performs in public. The story in the book tells the reason for this. The short version is that her family was in the mid-east and Angelina met a poor young shoeless girl, about her age who was working as a street vendor, weighing people to make a little money for her family. Angelina noticed scars on the girl's feet and thinking about the cold temperatures, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl said she would pray for Angelina every day and that Angelina must remember her. And as a reminder of the girl, Angelina vowed to perform barefoot in public until all children in the world has shoes and clothes. That happened when she was six. She's still doing it now when she's seventeen and has done if performing for heads of state and at huge events. You think that might be a good fit?

The Oslo School of Music and Arts that Angelina attended has a small studio and there are videos her grandmother shot when she had just lost her first baby tooth (late 5 years old?). Her ear for music is evident, but she is just a kid that loves to sing. About 1 year later (6, probably about to turn 7, just before she was allowed to enter NGT, judging by the state of her adult teeth beginning to pop out, willy-nilly) she did "I who have nothing" in the same studio with one of her teachers, and THAT is where we can see and hear that Angelina is something special! After she turned 8 she won NGT and a mere 2 months after turning 9 she arranged and performed the epic "I put a spell on you" video, absolutely proving that she is in a league of her own.

She has written 3 very uplifting positive songs which are all excellent and very different. 7th HEAVEN was written toward the end of the pandemic which was a frustrating time for entertainers. DIAMOND was released this year and it a high attitude energising , very modern song. OUR TIME is another confidence building song. They are all great but Diamond is my favorite of these three. Try any of her 200+ songs, you can't go wrong.

Great reaction! I would LOVE if you could react some more to her. Milo Manheim reacted to her 1,5 months ago, and she REALLY deserves more attention. I have been following her since she auditioned on Norway's Got Talent when she was 7, and now that she is 17 (turning 18 on January 10th) I consider her the best female singer in the world. She signed with Republic Records when she was 14, on the premise that they would hold off from ANY promotion of her until after she'd finished school. The fact that she has not been promoted at all is the main (and only) reason why she is largely flying under the radar. But that is soon to change. Republic Records just recently built a recording studio exclusively for her to use. And that happens before she has generated anything in return, financially. They are very aware of the gem they have on their hands. Angelina released a 6 song EP called "Old Enough" on July 21st, containing all original songs. You have most certainly struck gold here! I just hope that you enjoy reading long comments! I suppose that many of the comments below will be encouraging you to listen to a performance she gave at 9 years old. Apart from the amazing voice, the tone, the vibrato, she has incredible musical skills, making her own arrangements. People will highlight her humility and empathy, also I have to add the passion she has for music. At this young age she listened to Screamin' Jay Hawkins. I think introduced by her grandma, who, being an artist (painter), wanted Angelina to sing "Portrait of a man". Angelina then heard his "I put a spell on you" and decided that this was something substantial that she could work on. The original was more theatre than music, Angelia took the passion of that version and made it more music. I discovered Angelina almost 6 years ago when she was 12 & was immediately hooked. I've listened to her every day since then & I've never seen any one like her. She continues to get better every year & she will probably continue to improve into her mid- to late-20's when her vocal cords are fully developed. Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Yeah I've been stunned for two years. Sounds like most people around here have been stunned since whenever they came across her too. 🤷‍♂😍🤩 She's been unbelievable for a decade, a decade chalk full of content. Up to 12 originals now, an album and a christmas EP not far away. A load of unreal covers. I think most Angels seem to want "I put a spell on you" as a pretty early reaction, especially since you started at 8 too. At 9yo, on her official channel, black and white vid. Perhaps her most irreconcilable performance. Fairly unique too for her, this incredibly versatile artist.

I've seen where someone has already recommended "I put a spell on you," three others to take you along her path, her winning preformance of " summertime," Norways got talent 8 years old. 13 year old Angelia singing "bohemien rapsody" americas got talent. She sings this so emotionally it still gives me chills. And finally 14 year old Angelina singing her first original for republic records "million miles," she wrote it for her grandfather that passed away. Interestingly, Quincy Jones, who had arranged Fly Me To The Moon for Frank Sinatra, personally invited Angelina to sing this song with his orchestra at his 85th birthday celebration at the O2 Arena in London. She was 12 years old and opened the show with this song, which was later broadcast on Radio 2. She also sang a snippet from another jazz song for him back stage. He said her talent reminded him of a young Michael Jackson. Speaking of which, she covered his song, Heal The World, which she sang live from LA for the virtual visit by HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway to the State of California. It's on her Coverchannel. Also posted there is her unique jazzed version of Michael's Bille Jean. She made it her own, as she's done with so many other songs, like Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody on America's Got Talent The Champions when she was 13. There is a video that has all 4 if you do not want to watch them separately. One of them is acapella and well, they are all a MUST SEE! There is also a video where she is 6 years old in a recording studio singing I Who Have Nothing that is fantastic. By the way, I believe she arranges all her songs herself. She is beyond talented. She is only 17 years old today and from Norway. She signed with the label Republic Records just 14 years old, I think we can safely leave the promotion to Republic Record. Marketing will start when they are ready There's only one EP with 6 songs she's released from RR no. Republic Records know 100% what they are doing? I think a lot of people don't realize how much Angelina has done in her short life (17). She performed FIFA AWARD song, and performed in front of 40 000 people only 11 years old invited by Norah Jones. She was also specially invited by Quincy Jones to perform on his 85th birthday in the O2 arena / London. And so on goes the list... She has over 250 songs on KZbin with cover songs and many originals. Angelina also plays piano and guitar. The truth is that within a year or two she will be the artist for the big occasions. and not a "plastic artist" who tops a list for a week and is forgotten just as quickly. When she sometimes belts is it because the fits in the performances. She sings to us only she can do! Angelina recently had a sold-out concert in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where there was an audience from many different country all the way from Australia and from 39 different states in the USA.
