Surah An-Nur (24:31) > "And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their chastity, and not to reveal their adornments except what normally appears. Let them draw their veils over their chests, and not reveal their adornments except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their fellow women, those ˹bondwomen˺ in their possession, male attendants with no desire, or children who are still unaware of women’s nakedness. Let them not stomp their feet, drawing attention to their hidden adornments. Turn to Allah in repentance all together, O believers, so that you may be successful." (Quran 24:31) This verse instructs believing women to be modest, cover their adornments, and draw their veils over their chests. 2. Surah Al-Ahzab (33:59) > "O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks over themselves. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful." (Quran 33:59) This verse advises women to draw their outer garments over themselves to be recognized as believing women and avoid harm or harassment.

It's called bolani in Farsi and Piraki or Boeragi in Pashto. They can either be fried, baked in a tandoor, or made on a flat griddle. The fillings also vary. However, street vendors usually sell the two basic fillings, either garlic chives or potatos. The bolani prepared at home can have all sorts of fillings. You can have meat with cheese filling or whatever filling you like. Traditionally, we never ate it with those sauces, but people would rather have it with a plain yogurt mix with dried mint.

Afghan fruits and vegetables are probably the best in the world, for example when you slice tomatoes, the juice is almost red, some afghan apples are so sweet that when you bite into it your lips will stick together, not to mention the yellow potatoes that never break when cooking chips.

Hi Alan and Shannon, Just a tip, the constant diarrhea is the sign of food poisoning, you might feel worse after having the bolani and samosas. I recommend you go to a doctor asap, It happend to me when I went to Afghanistan back in 2013 and 2019 and I ended up in hospital. Wish you a safe journey and please don't forget to go to Nuristan.
